Hey all. Im may not be any famous here but I'm here to show you on how to build your own deck. And make it playable at least. Unfortunately in this TCG, there are cards that are obsolete and that you should avoid using. For monsters, and obsolete card would be something less than 1700atk with 4 or less stars and no attack with no support cards. Examples are: Koumori Dragon.... he has 1500atk and is a four star monster. Now he shouldn't be put into decks for this reason. He could be beat by anything and he has no support. Some weak monsters with support would be the ojamas, mokey mokey, 3 stars or less dont fit into the obsolete category. There are many cards for supporting them. Triangle Power, some other cards I can't remember now.
Now I've covered on the obsolete monster cards. You can track them down yourself with the information I gave you. There are also obsolete magic or traps. But I don't need to review. You can find them out yourself. Ill give you one example. Draining Shield replaces Enchanted Javelin, therefore Enchanted Javelin is only useful for some situations (like when your opponent attacks your face down defense position monster and his attack is lower than your defense so he loses lifepoints and you can top that off with enchanted javelin... there... draining shield wont make your opponent lose the lifepoints since it will negate attack). Draining Shield has more advantages. So Enchanted Javelin is obselete.
Now I'm going to build a deck. And I will review on the structure so you can build your own. I will show you that almost all decks build in this format. Not all, but I refer this to the basic format. Then we have the type and attribute format which I can also mix with our basic format... By the way I categorized these myself. Then we have the Magic/Trap Structure. There is also the OTKs (One turn kills) which are really famous and they don't only run cyber stein, there are ben-kei OTKs too. There are many more. But these are the most used. And you know why they are the most used. Because they are good, who would use them if they were not good. I will show you a deck of the Basic Format. Beatdown decks fall on this category. I'm going to show you one deck that falls under beatdown, lockdown (lockdown does categorize in being a basic formatted deck in some ways, it could also fall in its own categories)... and many other basic "formatted" decks. This deck is original and falls into the basic format. WTF?.... well im here to prove...
Total Cards (41)
Monsters (20) 1 - Breaker the Magical Warrior 1 - Exiled Force 3 - Gemini Elf 3 - Giant Germ 1 - Mobius the Frost Monarch 1 - Zaborg the Thunder Monarch 1 - D. D. Warrior Lady 2 - Silent Swordsman LV5 1 - The Unhappy Maiden 1 - Mystic Swordsman LV2 2 - Old Vindictive Magician 1 - Sangan 2 - Magician of Faith
Spells/Magic (12) 1 - Mystical Space Typhoon 1 - Swords of Revealing Light 1 - Premature Burial 1 - Snatch Steal 1 - Mage Power 1 - Lightning Vortex 2 - Nobleman Of Crossout 1 - Heavy Storm 2 - Smashing Ground 1 - Creature Swap
Traps (9) 1 - Ceasefire 1 - Mirror Force 2 - Sakuretsu Armor 1 - Call of the Haunted 1 - Dust Tornado 1 - Magic Jammer 2 - Bottomless Trap Hole
Hmm... 41 cards. Not bad for a deck. As you can see here it falls in a basic category because its basic as in. Attack your opponents lifepoints the traditional old-fashioned way until it reaches zero. OTKs are different from this because they do it fast in some other tactical way which isn't basic. These Include the staples in most decks. Here are some cards to clear the field, some monster powerups, bait for tributes and some beatsticks to attack. Its nothing special. Thats why it fits in the basic format. Good luck in your deckbuilding!!!
