Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Hm...I have a lot to say lately. Well, as you can tell, I have returned (for this article) to combos. However, at the end, I'll be adding a short addition to my Rant to End All Rants articles, just a final explanation on my beliefs about staples.
But first, the combo. It requires you to have a Chainsaw Insect on the opponent's side of the field somehow and for you to be able to have four Scapegoat tokens out and be able to summon Tsukuyomi. I think one of the CotD reviewers pointed this combo out. Here's my take on it.
Have a Chainsaw Insect out and play Scapegoat on your opponent's turn. Then, when your turn comes around, use some card to switch CI to the opponent (Shien's Spy was the first card that comes to mind) and then summon Tsukuyomi, flipping CI facedown. Hit the CI with your Goat tokens and then Tsukuyomi. Thanks to CI's ability, you'll draw five cards. How sweet is that?
And if you're lucky, your opponent will already be playing CI, so you don't need to switch your own over. And five cards for free is great! Well, not for free. If you're unlucky enough that your opponent pulls out a way to attack a bunch of those Goats (now in ATK positon leaving your LP vulnerable) then you my friend will be hurting.
Here ends the combo and begins the short (hopefully) rant. If you want, just go ahead and click the Back button or something.
I just hate it when people say they don't have enough room for a card in their deck because then they'd have to take out a staple. (I don't know if anyone has actually said that, but I know I'd hate it if they did.) If they really want to use a card and they think it could really help the deck, then drop a "staple"!
See, my problem with "staples" is that they are used in most decks. And yet they don't provide some direct aid to that deck and that deck alone (or amongst few others).
For example, I built a LV deck recently and had two Magicians of Faith in it and no Breaker the Magical Warrior. (Yes, this was post-ban list.) I had to explain to one person about how I didn't have Breaker because it didn't provide a direct advantage for the LV deck, unlike MoF, which did. (MoF allows me to bring back essential spells that I can only have so many of yet need so much more of, like Level Up!.)
I absolutely detest using cards in a deck if they aren't directly linked or don't directly help the theme. So here's the point. I don't think there are staples because not every card provides a direct advantage for the deck in question. So here's what you should do.
Don't put "staples" in first. In fact, put them in last. Put the cards you want to use in the deck first. After you've added all the cards you have in because you want them, fill in the gaps with "staples", but only the ones that do something you think you need more of. Like if you've found all the cards you want to use, but don't think you have enough S/T destruction, throw in Breaker.
Here ends the rant. You can read now.
Okay, so there you have it, an awesome combo and some ranting I'm sure most of you ignored. But if you didn't ignore it...then take my advice. Build decks theme cards first, staples last.
Any questions, comments, deck themes, blah blah blah, can be sent to GUYOBRAINS@aol.com.
By the way, the person who needed an explanation as to why I didn't use Breaker in the LV deck was the same person who said "staples make decks more interesting". Everyone, join me in pointing and laughing. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
