Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Sent: Friday, April 14, 2006 5:42 PM

Subject: Chaos Theory

Some of you may have read my "Bait Doll" tip, well here's something completely different:

Okay readers, I know how practically everyone is fed up with CCCC, which has too many "C"s for me to actually put up with. Okay, listen... when Konami and Upperdeck sent out the "chaos" cards, they meant for them to be used correctly.

By correctly, I do not mean splashing it into every viable deck idea. No... there's a brand of deck out there, and it's called "Chaos Theory". Now, I for one don't run "Chaos Theory", but it is a decktype that cannot be ignored.

So basically, this chaos deck removes everything it's got in the grave/field from play or at least everything it can, and for all of you "hang management wins games" people, this is the deck for you. "Chaos Theory" is the ultimate draw, hand control deck ever!

What gives the "Chaos Theory" deck so much draw power?

Well... aside from the Graceful it has already, it also has...

Card of Sanctity
Different Dimension Capsule

Now readers... both of these cards will give you some advantage. However, "Chaos Theory" only runs 1 chaos greed, while it is allowed to run 3 Card of Sanctities... what does this mean? It means that the REAL chaos deck has the ultimate drawing power.

If you're going to tell me that "Card of Sanctity"
is a bad card, well let me tell you something...

"Chaos Theory" will run DD Scout Planes, and Return from the Different Dimension, amidst other cards that remove stuff from play and bring them back... because of this, the chaos deck will utilize a broken form of monster destruction called "Chaos End".
It's like dark hole, but it isn't banned... in fact, it's a common... but wait... you can activate it for the extremely low price of having 7 removed cards from play... well, we've already achieved that.

Of course, the monster line-up will have DDWL, DDA, DDW, etc... maintaining awesome field presence, and isntead of allowing your opponent to ressurect their fallen mobius, Banisher of Light will allow them to simply remove it. When all of those cards are nuked by like a lightning vortex or something, they'll just bring out a Chaos Sorcerer.

Listen, people... I know everyone is ranting about Chaos decks... but have they really tried to make one? i mean, an actual Chaos-Theme deck? I bet not... Shining Angels also provide food for the Sorcerers...

Now, I bet you're wondering... WHAT ABOUT SAKS, WIDESPREADS, ETC???
Once again, let me come back to Bait Doll. Not only is Bait Doll the ultimate tech card, but it contributes to the chaos deck perfectly, by allowing the graveyard to be free of spells, while coming back over and over again, if you get tired of it, just remove it from play.

To combat the other DDWL and DDA, there are DD Survivors, which act as beatsticks if all else fails... 1800 won't stand up to much, but it'll get over the usual.

To stop those pesky reapers? Chain Disppearance...
if not, just remove them from play with Sorcerers, lol.

And the finale? Most of your monsters are gone...
your opponent used a waboku to stop themselves from dying... they have no cards in their hand and they have a mobius on the field with no facedown S/Ts, they look pretty confident. You draw what can be your final card, and it happens to be... Card of Sanctity. You've got nothing to lose, so you activate it... the first card is... Bait Doll... the second is... Chaos Necromancer. You attack for the win.

Chaos Necromancer is a nifty card, and probably won't be pulled in such a situational situation... but it definitely fits into this deck. So please, if you have the cards, the resources... run this deck!

For extra hand disposal, besides Confiscation, there's DD Designator, and even if it does backfire, you'll be able to bring back whatever you sent out back into play, unless it's an annoying Bait Doll.

What I want you to do, is to stop hating Chaos...
sure, I will allow you to hate the CCCC decks... they are not good... no originality... but if you're like me, and would like to change the scene of the world...
why not start with the most powerful decktype, and use it against them? I'm not talkin CCCC, I'm talking, "Chaos Theory".

Deck: 51 Cards, but this won't matter, because it thins really quickly.

Monsters: 20
3x Chaos Sorcerer
1x DD Warior Lady
1x DD Assailant
2x DD Warrior
2x DD Survivor
2x DD Scout Plane
1x Sangan
2x Magician of Faith
2x Banisher of Light
3x Shining Angel
1x Chaos Necromancer

Spells: 18
2x DD Designator
3x Chaos End
2x Different Dimension Capsule
3x Card of Sanctity
1x Confiscation
1x Graceful Charity
2x Bait Doll
1x Heavy Storm
1x MST
2x Reinforcement of the Army

Traps: 11
3x Return from the Different Dimension
2x Spell Shield Type 8
2x Solemn Judgment
1x Dust Tornado
1x Big Burn
2x Chain Disappearance

There are a huge amount of cards out there that you can use instead of these, but I don't remember what they were... For all you folks who use DDWL and DDA and CS in a deck that relies on Treeborn Frogs, Spirit Reapers and mobiuses... well... why don't you try this out?

Remember folks, chaos is here to stay... use something that can counter those darn spirit reapers and mobiuses... use anything... just remember that this is the REAL chaos deck as it was meant to be... but because people abused it... CED and BLS are gone...
leaving only their mal-nourished brother behind...

He wants revenge.
