Subject: Burners worst nightmare. Should it be
restricted ? - Skepke the Dark
Hello guys its me again with my second article here
on Pojo.com,
this time it is about a card deadly to burner decks
*insert drums* : Royal Decree.
Royal Decree
Continious Trap
Effect: As long as this card remains face-up on the
field, negate the effect of all trap cards on the
field except this card.
Royal Decree has become a staple these days with a
reason. It is kind of like a second Jinzo, except
having to tribute a monster for it. Obviously, burn
decks are pretty reliant on some trap cards to
protect them (Gravity Bind, Secret Barrel (damage),
Ultimate Offering to get those two Solar Flare
Dragons out).
Jinzo is limited to 1 for a reason, its 2400 ATK,
one tribute, and a devastating effect make it simply
great. I must say I am really confused why Imperial
Order is banned. It has similar effect, only the
cost is 700 LP per turn, meaning you probably dont
want it more than one or two turns.
The worst thing in my opinion against burners are
trap-negating effects such as this card, IMO it
should be limited to one or two *screams one*.
