A look at the new ban list --
Michaelo92
In the ban list effective Sept. 1st, you can see a
major change: Chaos Sorcerer is BANNED!!!!!! :)
However, like all ban lists, this provides new
opportunities all around. Reflect Bounder and
Lightning Vortex are triple-able (you can have 3).
Just in case, I have the changes right here.
Newly banned: Chaos Sorcerer, Snatch Steal,
Thousand-Eyes Restrict, Tsukuyomi
Newly at 1 per deck: Future Fusion, Gravity Bind,
Magician of Faith, Nobleman of Crossout, Ring of
Destruction, Spirit Reaper, Ultimate Offering
Newly at 2 per deck: Exiled Force, Giant Trunade,
Reckless Greed, Wall of Revealing Light
Newly at 3 per deck: Drop Off, Emergency Provisions,
Lighning Vortex, Reflect Bounder
I'm surprised Chaos Sorcerer wasn't even on the list
before. Snatch Steal was just another Change of
Heart before now. Tsukuyomi deserved to be here, but
TER's ban is not well justified, even with
Cyber-Stein running around.
Getting back Ring of Destruction is one of the two
major highlights of this rotation (the other being
Chaos Sorcerer's ban). I saw Future Fusion at one
since I saw Zane use it on the show. It seems like
Magician of Faith and Nobleman of Crossout have been
moving between 1 and 2 ever since the Advanced
Format was created. The others are for controlling
stall and swarm, which I saw a lot of.
We get some huge drawing power with Reckless Greed
at 2. If you use them both on one turn, you can draw
4 cards and skip 2 draw phases. Exiled Force fills
in for NoC.
Drop Off helps control decks, since Time Seal is
banned. (Time Seal is only banned because of that
mother****ing Victory Dragon in Japan!!!!) Lightning
Vortex, when used with Book of Taiyou or something
like that, spells extreme trouble. (This is why
Sinister Serpent was banned.) The other cards are
nicely placed.
In conclusion?
Nice work, Upper Deck.
