Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Subject: Gilford the Lightning Finisher - Dustin H.
Hello again to all those reading. Those of you who've read
my past tips should know that this is going to be another
good one.
All right, this combo needs three different cards:
Heavy Storm - The one you're allowed
Statue of the Wicked - Three
Gilford the Lightning - One's all you need
Your opponent got a field of monsters, spells, and traps and
you know they'll finish you off next turn unless you do
something about it? Here's the combo for you!
First, set your three Statue of the Wicked Cards (Statue)
and play Heavy Storm (Storm). Storm will clear the field of
all spell and trap cards, including, of course, your
Statues. Then, the Statues' effect will activate, bringing
three Wicked Tokens to the field. Sacrifice your Tokens to
summon Gilford the Lightning, whose effect will activate,
destroying all monsters on the opponent's side of the field.
This combo can pretty much only backfire if Storm is
stopped. After all, there are few monster effects in the
game that can stop Gilford's effect. In fact, I don't think
there are any.
It's best used late-game when the opponent doesn't have much
of anything left to stop (or survive) Gilford's attack.
Generally, this is meant to be a finisher.
Now some may ask, "How much space is it going to waste in my
deck?" Well, let me answer that. Storm is a card that many
people use. Putting this in can't really hurt the deck.
Statue is, I believe, an underplayed card. Throwing this in
as bait for spell/trap destruction isn't a bad idea. In
threes though...it might be a little more space than one
should use. Gilford is the only card that, by itself, is not
spectacular. But then again, how's one card going to
completely mess up your deck?
In summary, this combo could be pretty good if used right.
Heck, I thought I'd just send this in to give people another
useful combo. But, after thinking about it, I think I might
even have to try it! Now, I just need two more Statue of the
Wicked cards...
