Subject: The "Fun" of Originality- Matt

Hello everyone, Matt here, deciding to write another article. I tend to write when I feel there is something other duelists should here, and this time is no exception. I am coming to you today with a question: is being original worth it? I mean, in the current Metagame, our originality is not too rewarding. For some it may be, and that is great, but for many players, such as myself, I find that being original can be pretty hard tournament wise. So as a result of my frequent losses with my current deck, I decided it was time for a change of pace, and strategy. I baught the Spellcaster's Judgement Structure Deck, and let me say, it is great. I enjoy playing it, as I used to have a Dark Magician themed deck a year or two ago, but took it apart because I just couldn't find a right way to play it.

Anyway, I'll just conclude by saying this: originality should bring its own reward, but for those who are serious about winning tournaments, you should really make sure your original deck can stack up against what most people are playing, otherwise you too will find that originality isn't always fun.
