Subject: The Answer to Everything: the negation deck by Chaosmech

The Answer to everything- the negation deck. By Chaosmech

Hey all! Chaosmech back with another CCG tip. I wanted to show you the mechanics of a deck that can deal with anything and everything thrown at it.

It's a pretty good mix of Beatdown and Control, but it's Traditional, so those of you looking for a deck copy should just click the "x" in the upper right-hand corner and go find someone else to netdeck.
What I'm trying to do here is teach you that a deck should be able to deal with anything. This means negation. And, as you can see in the deck list below, this deck is pretty much ready for anything. This is the deck I take to the Traditional tournament in town. Or the one that I will take as soon as I get a chance. Naturally, it's Chaos, but it also has some lockdown combo goin' on. Check it out.

My deck:
Tribute/SS: 4
BLS-EOTB
CED-EOTE
Jinzo
Silent Swordsman LV5
Non-tribute: 15
Sangan
Witch
Tribe
Breaker
Night Assailant
Magician of Faith
Blade Knight x2
DDWL
Tsukuyomi
Exiled Force
Yata
Fiber Jar
Mirage Dragon
Spirit Reaper
Magical Scientist
Spells: 13
Heavy Storm
Premature Burial
Graceful Charity
Change of Heart
Lightning Vortex
Wicked-Breaking Flamberge- Baou
Dark Hole
Painful Choice
Mystical Space Typhoon
Pot of Greed
Monster Reborn
Metamorphosis
Nobleman of Crossout
Traps: 8
Return from the Different Dimension
Call of the Haunted
Sakuretsu Armor x3
Waboku
Torrential Tribute
Imperial Order

Side deck:
The Warrior Returning Alive
Royal Decree
Silent Swordsman LV7
Nobleman of Extermination
Ring of Destruction
Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World
Dark World Lightning
Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
Mirage of Nightmare
Robbin' Goblin
Emergency Provisions
Interdimensional Matter Transporter
Divine Wrath
Swords of Revealing Light
Not too shabby, I would say. Obviously, Jinzo is for dealing with traps.
Silent Swordsman LV 5 can deal with spells, but it's the Wicked-Breaking Flamberge that really makes my day. You discard a card from your hand (not so good, unless you're dumping a Light/Dark for BLS or CED) to equip a monster, increase its ATK by 500 (Not that great, but still nice) and, (here's the kicker) negate the effects of all monsters destroyed by the equipped monster in battle. No D. D. Assailant removing your precious Jinzo.

No Magician of Faith ready to return that Dark Hole that nearly wasted you last time. It's gone, negated!
Now if I want to really lock down my opponent's spells, I sub in some cards from the side deck. Jinzo is swapped for Silent LV7, and Royal Decree for Return. Royal Decree will fit the spot my Jinzo left vacant, while allowing me to totally lock down spells with Silent LV7. And believe me, Silent LV7 isn't hard to get out when your LV5 is immune to your opponent's spells.
They can't Dark Hole it, they can't Brain Control it, they can't Lightning Vortex it, they can't smashing ground it. They have to rely on traps and monsters. And if the Royal decree is on the field, their traps are locked down as well. And then you equip with Baou to really make their lives miserable.
I hope you've learned that a good deck build should be able to cope with whatever the opponent throws at it. But at the same time, the deck shouldn't

be solely focused around negating the opponent's maneuvers. Obviously you have to make some moves of your own, and that's where the Chaos Monsters fit

in very nicely.
Hope you enjoyed it. If you want a deck fix, just email me at chaosmech@hotmail.com. Or email me if you want to talk, or just say hi. I'm not picky Keep it cool, Chaosmech
