Subject: The Dark World Deck-- Chaosmech_Neo

The Dark World Deck-Chaosmech_Neo

Hey everyone! This is Chaosmech_Neo, which is actually just a new username for an old person. I'm the same as the Chaosmech of old, but I'm switching b/c this is my new Pojo username. Anyway, I just wanted to point out to you the coolest set of cards since the Chaos monsters of IOC. I present to you.
the Dark World Cards!

First, let's look at the basic idea.
Every Dark World monster is a DARK Fiend. That automatically lends them both

strengths and weaknesses. Obviously they're all vulnerable to Getsu Fuhma, but at the same time are boosted by Dark Ruler Ha Des and are food for Dark Necrofear. Being DARK is generally pretty good, as food for Chaos Sorcerer.
Let's take a look at the specifics.

Scarr, Scout of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/2 star/500/500
When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard as a result of battle,

you may add one Level Four or lower monster with "Dark World" in its card name to your hand.

This is kind of like a mix between the traditional battle searcher and Reinforcements of the Army, but for Dark World monsters. Sub-par stats mean it won't be killing anything, but that's not what it's for.

Zure, Knight of Dark World
Normal
DARK/Fiend/4 star/1800/1500

A decent beatstick with good defense. It combos with Scarr, Forces of Darkness, and Gateway to Dark World (which I'll talk about later). There's better out there, but it's not too bad.

Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/1600/1300
If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard to your side of the field.

The least of the discarding effects. You don't get any bonus for your opponent discarding it, so that makes it prime Graceful bait in Traditional.

I draw three, and special summon two 1600 monsters. Then I tribute both for Dark Magician of Chaos, and then special summon Black Luster Soldier! You can just see the abuse this card would get in traditional. I would put in three, just because of the free special summon.

Broww, Huntsman of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/3 star/1400/800
If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, draw 1 card from your Deck. If this card is discarded from the hand by your opponent's card effect, draw 1 more card from your Deck.

This card is what contributes to the speed of the Dark World. A draw engine that makes your opponent's Don Zaloog and Spirit Reaper pointless. It's got three stars, which means searchable by Scarr, and can attack under Gravity Bind. Still, with only 1400 ATK, you won't be attacking much, and its real strength is in the hand. Put at least two in a dedicated Dark World Deck.

Brron, Mad King of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/4 star/1800/400
When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent's life points, you can select 1 card in your hand and discard it to the graveyard.

This really only combos with Dark World monsters, basically allowing you to swarm in the battle phase. Note that the effect is optional, which is nice if you don't have any Dark World monsters in your hand at the time. Decent ATK, sub-par DEF, which means it's vulnerable to Tsukuyomi and Book of Moon.

Still, a necessity in any Dark World deck. Take three.

Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/5 star/2300/1400
If this is discarded from the hand by a card effect, Special Summon this card to your side of the field. If this card is discarded from the hand by your opponent's card effect, your opponent selects 2 cards in their hand, and returns them to the bottom of their Deck in any order.

Interesting. Not as good as Goldd, but still very nice. Good stats for a tribute, beats Cyber Dragon, but not Jinzo. 1400 DEF means it's Witchable in

Traditional. Free special summon if discarded by a card effect, and if it's your opponent's, they have to take two cards from their hand and send them to the bottom. A good thing, b/c if it discarded them, it would probably be meeting some Dark World vengeance. You attack with Don, well, you just hit my Sillva, say goodbye to two cards in your hand. oh no! the two I discarded

were both Goldd!! Argh! But that doesn't happen. There's better cards out there, so don't use it unless you don't have enough Goldd.

Goldd, Wu-lord of Dark World
Effect
DARK/Fiend/5 star/2300/1400
If this card is discarded from the hand by a card effect, Special Summon this card to your side of the field. If this card is discarded from the hand

by your opponent's card effect, you select up to 2 cards on your opponent's side of the field and destroy them.
Ah yes. The whole reason for running a Dark World deck in the first place.
If discarded you get to SS it. If discarded by your opponent, you get to SS it and destroy two of their cards. Wonderful. The only downside is if he is discarded by something when your opponent has no cards on the field. The only time I can see that happening is if your opponent plays Delinquent Duo,

which only happens in traditional. You know, I'm beginning to think the Dark

World monsters have more of a place in Traditional than in Advanced. That being said, I'll design the finished deck to conform to Traditional Format.
Now to look at the Dark World support cards.

Gateway to Dark World
Quick-play spell
During the turn this card is activated, you cannot normal summon, flip summon, or special summon a monster. Special summon one monster with "Dark World" in its card name in your graveyard to your side of the field.

Pretty much free revival for Dark World. Its quick-play status only increases its playability, as you can activate it on your turn, on your opponent's turn, chain it to M/T removal, and gets around Jinzo. Downsides?
Like Scapegoat, during that turn, you can't summon at all. But you can still

set. That's pretty good, right? Especially for free revival.

Dark World Lightning
Normal Spell
Destroy one face-down card on the field. After that, discard one card from your hand to the graveyard.

This really helps the Dark World Deck. Get rid of an unknown threat, special

summon a monster or draw a card? Give me that any day! Regardless, you end up gaining the advantage you lose by discarding. Also, if the card is a S/T,

and is chained, you don't have to discard. That's good too, right? Put in three.

Dark Deal
Trap
You can only activate this card when your opponent activates a normal spell.

Pay 1000 Life points. The effect of the activated card becomes "your opponent randomly discards 1 card from their hand"

There was a lot of confusion on the rulings for this card at first. Let me clear that up. Your opponent activates a normal spell. You activate this card, turning your opponent's spell into a random discard for you for the cost of 1000 LP. Almost never worth it b/c of the randomness. If you got to choose the discard, I would look at it as a 1000 LP Spell negation with Special Summon implications. However, the only time this would be worth it is if you had nothing but Goldd, Sillva, or Beiige in your hand. Broww would

leave you unprotected. I'm going to pass this one up.

Forces of Darkness
Trap
Add 2 monsters with "Dark World" in their card name from your graveyard to your hand.

Only belongs in the dedicated Dark World deck. It's excellent advantage. And

because you add them to your hand, that lets you possibly re-use their effects. I'll use two.

Here's the deck.
Tribute/SS: 5
Goldd x3
Dark Ruler Ha Des x1
Dark Necrofear x1
Non-tribute: 15
Broww x2
Beiige x3
Scarr x2
Breaker x1
Brron x3
Morphing Jar x1
Sangan x1
Witch x1
Spells: 14
Pot x1
Graceful x1
Gateway to Dark World x3
Dark World Lightning x2
Card Destruction x1
Creature Swap x1
Raigeki x1
Harpie's Feather Duster x1
Mystical Space Typhoon x1
Change of Heart x1
Monster Reborn x1
Traps: 7
Call of the Haunted
Mirror Force
Torrential Tribute
Forces of Darkness x1
Sakuretsu Armor x2
Imperial Order x1
There, that should be ok. Now remember, this is for Traditional, because Dark World is more powerful in Traditional, especially with Graceful Charity

and Delinquent Duo running rampant.
Keep it cool,
Chaosmech
