Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Hello to all you out there reading this. This time, I'm going to be talking about a new way to build a deck that's (probably) original and definitely one you'll like.
I've been frequently checking the updates on Pojo.com's Yu-Gi-Oh! site for about two months (maybe three; I can't quite remember) and in that time I've seen enough articles on originality to know it's a pretty important subject to some.
Now I'm one of those players who prefer originality over power. But sometimes it can be difficult to build an original deck with all the cards out there that are supposedly required for every deck you make.
So here's a way to build an original deck that I don't think anyone's thought of. Instead of basing it on one combo or one theme, base it on one card and one card alone.
Find your favorite card. I mean your absolute favorite card. Don't worry about effects and the like. Just pick your favorite card for the picture, or name, or whatever. Spells and Traps usually won't work so well for this. Normal Monsters would probably work best because the flavor text can add to the...whatever it is that makes the card your favorite.
Then try to find a deck the card fits best in. Find cards that support it well. Build a deck where the key monster is the one you picked as your favorite. This way, you're always guaranteed to have fun with the deck.
Of course, this is just if you want to be original. It's highly unlikely that if you build a deck this way, it could be very competitive. And of course you don't have to make the main card your favorite card.
If you like this idea for deckbuilding, you can give it a shot. If not, well, I'm just trying to help.
