Closing the Book on 2005
by TheDungeonMaster

First of all, I do know this is late. I just wanted to make sure it was pretty good.

Ok, this article is a step back from Dungeon Dice Monsters. It’s about two if the big types we got in 2005: The Cyber Dragon OTK and the Elemental Hero’s.

First, well start off with the Cyber Dragons.

Cyber Dragon OTK:
One of the big guys came to town with this guy. Even people who don’t run a Cyber Dragon OTK well usually run a Cyber Dragon or 2 in their deck. I do too, so it’s nothing new to me.

It’s quickly coming to being many people’s favorite card, and its worth a lot on Ebay and the Pojo.com Message Board.

You could ask EXMinionofDarkness, its one of his favorite cards to trade away for about 2000 points!

To get an Ultimate rare one is pretty big.

Anyway, lets talk a little about the type of deck. Ever since Cyber-Stein came out as a rare in Dark Beginning 2, the Cyber Dragon OTK skyrocketed. With the combination of Cyber-Stein and Cyber End Dragon, it spells trouble for your opponent. You better hope that you got a Sakuretsu Armor or Bottomless Trap Hole ready to use. But if your opponent uses Heavy Storm or Mystical Space Typhoon, well, have fun trying to take that big guy down.

Of course, its always fun to use a Magic Cylinder to have your opponent of 4500 + the 5000 for Cyber-Stein against it. That’s 9500 damage. But like I said before, make sure you got your backfield to use!

Elemental Hero’s
With the release of YuGiOh GX in America, the popularity of E-Hero’s in America was high up. When they first came out in The Lost Millennium, we got the four basics, Avian, Burstinitrex, Clayman and Sparkman. We also got two Fusions, Flame Wingman and Thunder Giant. We got a few support for it in that set, most important being Hero Signal.

Life goes on, and we get Cybernetic Revolution. We got Bubbleman in there, and it would help in the next set: Elemental Energy.

With four more fusions released and E-Hero Bladedge, E-Hero’s grew popular.

When the YuGiOh GX game came out for the Nintendo Gameboy Advanced, we got E-Hero Necroshade. That made Bladedge more popular and run a lot easier then before.

Shining Flare Wingman was a big boost, and that is one of the reasons why E-Hero’s grew popular.

E-Hero may not be the next deck to win Nationals or Regional, but they are fun to play – especially for me.

Well, that does it for this article. I’ll try to do a “One Article A Week” thing, so be looking for that.

In the mean time, you know what to do.
