3 new Fiend-Monsters -

Hello, readers.
This is my first article for pojo and I must say, I’m really honored to be allowed to write for this site. I’ve been checking all the articles and card of the days and I don’t know what more for about 2 years. And I just can´t get enough of it. But anyway, let´s skip this part and continue with the important business.

You all have to know that I´m from the Netherlands, so sometimes I could make some grammar errors or I could misspell some words, but I´ll do my best to write my articles without those errors.

In my articles I’m going to show you all kinds of cards I’ve made up myself or that the readers have mailed to me. Just bear in mind that al cards shown here are FAKE. They don´t exist. So if I´m talking ( this is just an example ) about the fifth and the sixth Monarches, don’t think that they really exist. They are just cards that the readers or I could make ourselves. Well, in this article I’m going to give you 3 new Fiend-Monsters to look at:

- Shadow Worm
- Dreadlord
- Ultimate Dreadlord

Our first one will be Shadow Worm.

Shadow Worm
MFR-001
Lv. 2
Dark
Fiend/Effect

“Whenever this card is removed from play by the effect of a Monster, inflict 500 points of direct damage to your opponent’s Life Points.”

1200/1300

Common

First, let’s take a look at it’s stats. His attack and defense aren’t really something special. He’s a Fiend, so he does have some support. Being a Dark is a good thing too. If this card wouldn’t have an effect, it would just simply be crap. But luckily, it has an effect. Whenever it is removed from play by the effect of a Monster Card, your opponent loses a mere 500 Life Points. It doesn’t need to be in the Graveyard for his effect to activate, so Banisher of the Light could be a Monster that will let this effect activate. Being a Dark, he is Chaos Food, so when he is removed from play to summon Chaos Sorcerer, you’re opponent will take 500 points of damage too. With Strike Ninja, you could inflict 1000 points of damage and Dark Necrofear does a nice 1500 damage when removing three of these Monsters. However, that would be a bit situational. When summoning Dark Necrofear by removing these three Monsters and then activate Return from the Different Dimension could inflict 7300 points of direct damage, so there are better choices to remove. In real life, this card wouldn’t see much play, since 500 damage isn’t really much and due the fact that Soul Release does not trigger this effect. This card will get a 1.3/5 in Advanced Format. It could be used in some decks, but isn’t worth a place in most of them.

Next, we’re going to look at an enormous powerhouse and another Fiend: Dreadlord

Dreadlord
MFR-023
Lv. 10
Dark
Fiend/Effect

“This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set by offering 3 face-up Monsters on your side of the field as tributes.”

4000/4000

Rare

The first thing you’ll notice is his incredible stats: 4000 attack can beat almost anything in the game and it’s equally high defense can stop most of the Monsters. He’s a Dark and a Fiend, which could give him some support, but his effects makes it just too hard to summon this Monster. You cannot Special Summon ‘Dreadlord’ at all. But that’s perfectly obvious since two of them can wipe out your opponent immediately. His second effect is erally worse: You have to offer three face-up Monsters as a tribute. With all those removal cards hopping around, it’s pretty rare to have 3 Monsters at the same time on your side of the field and most of the time, this card will just be Bottomlessed or Saku’d or something like that. Personally, I think this card is too hard to summon, so I wouldn’t add this card into my deck, even if I was running a Fiend Deck. The deck that this card could fit in, is a deck that can easily get out 3 Monsters ( Nimble Momonga, Giant Germ ) or a deck that runs his Fusion and is focused on getting three of these cards in their hand. This card gets a 1/5. He’s just far too hard to summon, and even if you get him in play, he will be a vulnerable target for Smashing Ground. However, in the right deck, this card could really shine, so then this card would get a 3.2/5. It would be an original idea to run a deck like that.

The Fusion of Dreadlord is even more powerful. Again, it’s hard to summon, but let’s take a look at this card before we’re going to discuss it:

Ultimate Dreadlord
MFR-024
Lv. 12
Dark
Fiend/Fusion/Effect

Dreadlord + Dreadlord + Dreadlord

“This card can only be Summoned by Fusion Summon with the correct Fusion Monster Material. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, this card is unaffected by the effects of Spell, Trap and Monster Cards.”

5000/5000

Super Rare

His 5000 attack and defense are currently the highest stats known. When you can get this card into play, it’s almost impossible for your opponent to destroy this giant, since the only way would be destroying this card as a result of battle. There is only one huge problem with this card: to get this card into play, you have to have four specific cards ( the 3 Dreadlords and Fusion Gate/Polymerization ). Since ‘Dreadlord’ can’t be summoned most of the time, it is dead weight in your hand. Having two of them would make your hand really awful. Having three makes it almost totally useless, unless you’ve got Fusion Gate or Polymerization. Again, this card is far too situational to be good, but in a deck that focuses on getting the Dreadlords, this card is a real staple. In a standard deck, this card is just useless, so it gets a 0/5 there. In a Dreadlord-based deck, you have to have this card too, so then he gets a 5/5.

If I recieve your mail, I might add your cards to one of my articles.
Hope you all enjoyed it and see you next time ;) .
