Thunder Cards part 2 – Jeroen

Hello, again.
As promised in my previous create-a-card article, this article will contain the continous Spell Card ‘Stunning Blast’, among 2 other cards that could support Thunder-Decks. Here are the names of today’s cards:

- Stunning Blast
- Thunder-Storm
- Speed Lizard

Stunning Blast
Spell/Continous

“All of your opponent’s Monsters that are attacked by your Thunder Monster and are not destroyed as a result of battle by that attack, cannot attack during their next turn.”

Common

Basically, this card isn’t very useful. If you’re going to attack a Monster and don’t destroy it, it better be in defense mode, or you would kill your own monster. Since monsters that are in defense mode cannot attack, with the exception of Total Defense Shogun, there’s usually no point in attacking defense monsters to use this effect. And since sacrificing one of your own monsters isn’t worth it to prevent one opponent’s monster not from attacking for one turn, this card sucks. It could come in use when your opponent has a ‘Spirit Reaper’ on the field. Then you can make sure it won’t attack to destroy one card from your hand, but that’s one of the less situations this card could do something good. However, together with Thunder Giant from my previous ‘create-a-card article, this card would make a nice combo. Then Thunder Giant could attack any Monster, remain on the field itself, protect itself against an attack of the Monster and destroy the Monster afterwards when he is used with this card as a combo. Again, this card could have some potential, but most of the time, just because it forms a combo with ‘Thunder Giant’. In all other cases, I wouldn’t run this card, even in a Thunder Deck.

Our fifth card is a Field Spell. It’s very simple: it boosts the power of your Thunder Monsters.
Let’s take a look at it:

Thunder-Storm
Spell/Field

“Increase the attack and defense of all Thunder Monsters on the field by 400 points.”

Rare

This is a really good card in Thunder Decks. It can power-up all Thunder Monsters by raising their attack and defense by 400 points. I don’t think this card needs very much explanation. It would belong in almost every Thunder Deck.

That was a really short review, but hey, why would we spend time on a card like that. It’s good and that’s a fact. Well, our last card already. This one is a Monster with a formidable effect. Let’s take a look at Speed Lizard.

Speed Lizard
Lv. 4
Light
Thunder/Effect

“This card can attack as many times during 1 battle phase as there are Thunder Monsters on your side of the field.”

1500/1500

Super Rare

Limited to: 2 per deck

This card is a very nice card in Thunder Decks. With ‘Thunder-Storm’ and another ‘Speed Lizard’, you could take out your opponent in almost one single turn. Together with another Thunder Monster, this card is slightly less powerful than with another ‘Speed Lizard’, but I do think it is still very useful then. Alone, it is not a very special card, being able to only attack 1 time with 1500 attack isn’t very special, but combined with another Thunder Monster, this card rocks.

Sorry for the short reviews on these cards. I’m in a bit of a hurry, but I’ll try spending some more time on my next article ;)

That’s it for this article. Hope you all enjoyed it.

‘Til next time,

~FantasyFan~
