O-Ja-Man - Drake

That’s Ojama, broken down to sound like a garbled ‘You da man’. Yes, lame, I’m sorry. I’ll be looking at an Ojama Deck today. Yes, you know, the Ojamas? Those weird-looking, disgusting, yet utterly hilarious spirit partners of Chazz? Here come the Ojama Brothers!

Monsters (15)

3 Ojama Green
3 Ojama Yellow
3 Ojama Black
2 Rescue Cat
2 Spirit Caller
2 King of the Swamp

Rule Numero-Uno when working with Ojamas: they have to be together. Alone, they suck. Don’t let anyone tell you different. So hey, we kinda HAVE to pack 3.

One of the best cards in the game for clearing the field is Ojama Delta Hurricane!! Sadly, it is intensely situational: you need all 3 Ojamas on the field to use it. And since that’s 3 monsters right there you need to have, it’s unlikely you’ll be taking advantage of that clear field by attacking. And hey, unless you plan to kindly ask your opponent to wait 3 turns while you set them one-by-one, the Ojamas won’t stay out long once you set them. That’s why we have Rescue Cat, which (besides looking cute in a nice change of pace from the drooling Ojamas) pulls out 2 Ojamas from the deck. Spirit Caller also lets you revive an Ojama.

King of the Swamp lets you sub it for an Ojama in a fusion, or dump it to get a Polymerization. One of the best Fusion Supporters in the game, we need it.

Spells (15)

2 Ojamuscle
2 Ojamagic
2 Dark World Lightning
2 Ojama Delta Hurricane!!
3 Polyermization
2 Fusion Weapon
2 Wild Nature’s Release

All support here. Ojamuscle combos well with a Trap I’ll discuss later (anyone who knows the Ojamas know what Trap I mean). Ojamagic gets us all the Ojamas. Remember Rule Numero-Uno!

Dark World Lightning is there to give us an excuse to drop Ojamagic to get its effect. Ojama Delta Hurricane is a staple for Ojamas. The Polys…again, you need them. The Fusion Weapons and Wild Nature’s Release pump up Ojama King.

Traps (11)

2 Ojama Trio
2 Soul Resurrection
2 Beast Soul Swap
2 The League of Uniform Nomenclature
3 Ray of Hope

Ojama Trio begs, in the worst way, to be abused with Ojamuscle. The two fit together better than the Ojama Brothers and bad hygiene!

Soul Resurrection is one of the few revival cards we can run in threes. The catch? It only revives Normal Monsters. Well, that’s not a problem for us, we’re running 9 of them!

The BSS’s are there for combos with Rescue Cat and TLoUN. Once the pretty kitty uses her effect, the Ojamas get the boot once we end our turn. This lets us bounce and resummon them, avoiding the Cat’s claws.

The League gets us out all the other Ojamas. Of the same name. Oh, if it could only pull out the brothers separately…but it can’t. But we can combo it with Beast Soul Swap to pull out 3 of one Ojama, and trade one of them in for another.

Once we fuse them, or get them with Rescue Cat, we need the Ojamas back. The Ray of Hope pull them back into our deck for another round.
