Subject: Alternative Burn deck
Hi everyone !
This is my first article here on Pojo.com and I hope
you'll all like it !
It's about my own 'burn' deck and the functions.
Well, first off, I said 'burn' because you would
think of a burn deck with Solar Flare Dragon, and
monsters with effects that inflict damage. My deck
is nothing like that. It has barely any monsters,
and (I must admit) it relies a bit on luck, with
which cards you draw. I'm going to explain a few of
the cards I included.
Gravity Bind:
All monsters of level 4 or higher cannot attack.
Their positions may still be changed.
Well, this card speaks for itself. Since there are
almost no monsters in this deck, you need to prevent
the enemy from attacking, level 3 or lower monsters
are not really common in most decks, so if you
opponent has a level 3 or lower monster, you can get
rid of it with cards as Man-Eater Bug or Night
Assailant.
Secret Barrel:
Inflict damage to your opponents Life Points equal
to the total number of cards on your opponent's side
on the field and in your opponent's hand x 200
points.
This is one of the damage cards I'm talking about.
It's a trap card, so you could use it when your
opponent draws a card or uses Graceful Charity.
Wave-Motion Cannon:
Send this card on the field to the Graveyard during
your Main Phase. Inflict damage to your opponent's
life points equal to the number of your Standby
Phases that have passed after this card was
activated x 1000 points.
Another great damage card. Takes some patience, and
luck that your opponent doesn't MST it, but after 4
turns, you have 3000 damage !! (Your first turn
doesn't count, since the Standby Phase of that turn
already passed).
Ookazi:
Inflict 800 points of Direct Damage to your
opponent's Life Points.
A surprising choice, you might think, but I think
this is one of the better cards. It inflicts 800
damage, and if used on the right moment (opponent
doesn't have any spells/traps set) it is a real pain
in the butt, especially when used in threes.
Toll:
As long as this card remains face up on the field,
both you and your opponent must pay 500 Life Points
per monster to attack.
Very good card in this deck, especially when used
early on in the game. Big risk of MST, but still.
Since you don't attack anyway, there is only a
disadvantage to your opponent.
Tribute to the Doomed:
Discard one card from your hand. Select one monster
on the field and destroy it.
A emergency card really, when there is no Gravity
bind or Stumbling to protect you.
Well, enough explanation, here's the deck list
