Subject: Gren Maju Da Eiza finds a friend in the
labryinth. - Derick
Looking through the "intriguing" cards of the day...
I was very disappointed
when I came across Gren Maju Da Eiza. They didn't
even vaguely reference one
of my more favorite combos. Maybe you noticed it.
Unfortunately, the cool kids passed up the combo.
Whether or not that affects your willingness to
continue reading this tip doesn't bother me. Fine,
go hang with the cool dis. Back to the tip. Using an
older card than GMDE, you can bring da eiza up to
3000+ attack very quickly. Think for a second.
Really hard now. One Clue. Labryinth of nightmare
monster disposal. I'll give it to you.
Gren Maju Da Eiza + Skull Lair
for the full stats:
Gren Maju Da Eiza
IOC-024
FIRE/3/FIEND/effect/?/?
The ATK and the DEF of this card become the number
of your cards removed from play x 400 points.
(lame...but wait for it.)
Skull Lair
LON-082
continuous trap
Remove any number of cards in you Graveyard from
play. Destroy 1 face-up monster on the fiend whose
Level Stars are equal to the number of the cards you
removed from play.
(oh my gosh, amazing card.)
Now, Skull Lair is such an amazing card to begin
with. Now that it has the power to gift a shrimp
with guns on it's shoulders.
Picture this:
Me: "Oh, dear. Blue-Eyes?! What will I do???"
Gruffy guy behind me: "Send 'im to Skull Lair."
Me: "Skull Lair? Oh, my. Nearly forgot. Well, I'll
lose a couple cards I can't use anymore. Bye-Bye,
Blue-Eyes!"
Gruffy guy: "That's the way to to do it."
Me: "While I'm at it, I'll summon Gren Maju Da Eiza
after you end your turn.
Oh, Dear. 400 for each out of play? That's 3200
attack? your blue-eyes is gone... I'll attack
directly."
Gruffy guy: "That's a surprise. I didn't even think
of that one."
opponent: "Oh, Dear!!!"
Now... I don't say "oh, dear"/"my" that often... but
it adds a comedic tone to the play. At least... I
laughed. Back to the tip.
Now, I will admit there are pros and cons to the
combo. But... the real card I liked was Skull Lair.
Skull Lair can fit in a lot of decks... because
it's so cool. This combo is mainly for mid to late
game. But, uh. I'll name a few pros... a few cons.
PROS:
[+] Skull Lair is a nice monster removal.
[+] Gren Maju has many friends... (Bazoo/D.D.
Warrior Lady/Chaos peeps/SKULL
LAIR)
[+] Three Stars... Laugh at gravity bind.
[+] Fiends have Friends
[+] Skull Lair is continuous.
[+] They are both common cards. It's a cheap combo.
[+] One less four-star on their field... another
sixteen hundred attack.
[+] Surprise them first... with it in defense
position.
[+] Take advantage of a reckless opponent.
[+] Gives a nice advantage for at least a turn... in
other words... they won't expect it.
[+] Works both ways... incase they like facedowns.
CONS:
[x] They'll learn to play face-down monsters.
[x] It's a trap card.
[x] Won't last long... both cards are the first
thing they want to get rid of.
[x] Gren Maju Da Eiza needs a humongous push.
[x] They're both horrible in the first hand.
[x] GMDE is fire attribute... Not much help with
that.
[x] You DO have to lose a lot of graveyard cards...
then again... graveyard means wipe a tear... skim
the will... find your name... rejoice...quietly.
[x] Jinzo/Royal Decree/Mystical Space Typhoon/Dust
Tornado/ Sakuretsu/Magic Cylinder/Trap Hole/Kycoo
the Ghost Destroyer [x] Dig up enough graves and it
won't be a graveyard.
[x] LON Common cards... kind of icky.
[x] a deck based around this is unrealistic. I'd say
"hurry up and beat 'em." decks would like this.
I don't currently use this combo in my deck... I've
been trying to at least get skull lair into it. Who
knows... You might like this combo. It was the first
combo I ever came up with on my own. I was proud of
it when I was a little noober. It's always fun
though to get rid of their whole side of the field
and then attack their monsterless field. Well
then...

P.S. this is my first tip. I loved writing this
though. I just hope I didn't
sounds superbly lame... like I thought I sounded.
