Subject: The Deck type that couldn't-Dr.Werewolf
Greed-an idea that Konami never built on
Good morning, afternoon and/or night, Pojoers. This
is Dr.Werewolf with
a decktype that could have been lots of things, but
wasn't. I am
talking about the Greed deck. Greed is a super rare
continuous trap
that states "Each time a player draws because of a
card effect, he/she
takes 500 points of damage during the End Phase for
each card drawn by
the card effect." The deck punishes other decks that
draw cards with
their dekoichis, etc.
There are a few cards that force your opponent and
your opponent only
to draw cards.
. Mind Wipe
. Chainsaw Insect
. Disturbance Strategy
. Sasuke Samurai #3
A player can activate Mind Wipe when his or her
opponent has three or
less cards in their hand (which can be forced
through Trap Dustshoot,
etc.). The player adds their hand to their deck,
shuffles the deck, and
draws the same number of cards that they sent to the
deck. This causes
500-1500 points of damage to the opponent's life
points.
Chainsaw Insect is a key monster for the deck. It
has super 2400 attack
and is only four stars. However, all of this comes
at a price. Whenever
it battles a monster, at the end of the damage step,
your opponent
draws a card. However, when Greed is active, it also
inflicts five
hundred points of damage
Disturbance Strategy is a Mind Wipe without the
limit. 'Nuff said (I
hope I did that right)
Sasuke Samurai is a mini-monster. It has 1000 attack
and defense.
However with a little power boost (Axe of Despair,
anyone? Or perhaps
Malevolent Nuzzler?) it should be able to activate
its effect. Its
effect states that whenever it inflicts battle
damage to the opponent,
the opponent draws until they have seven cards in
their hand. Now, this
could be as little as one, for five hundred damage,
or if they are
top-decking, a whopping 3500 points of damage. Most
likely, though, you
will get between 1000-2000 points, but the threat is
still there.
There are also some cards that can dump the cards
your opponent draws
into the graveyard.
. Null and Void
. Heavy Slump
Null and Void takes the cards that your opponent
draws with a card
effect, lets both players look at them, and sends
them all to the
graveyard. Therefore, they still get burned, but
they get no advantage
out of the draw.
Heavy Slump focuses on a much less common scenario.
When the opponent
has eight cards in their hand, they add their hand
to their deck,
shuffle the deck, and draw two cards. This should
not happen in a
regular duel, but in this deck, it is possible.
Therefore, if one
considers running this deck, they should put in one
or two.
Now, I am a horrible deck mechanic, and I mean that.
I cannot make or
fix decks if there is a theme to them. My idea of a
deck is a
combination of random cards thrown together.
Therefore, as sorry as I
am to lead you this far without creating a deck, I
will not destroy all
that I have just said by creating a dysfunctional
deck. Also, there are
not enough cards to make this deck without tossing
in all of those
^$#@ing cards that everyone plays (now you know my
outlook on cookie
cutters!). However, with future packs, we may see
more cards that would
work well with this deck.
Have a great day,
Dr. Werewolf.
