Subject: The Don Zaloog. Going Down - Oskar Eng
I am writing this because I have always liked Don
Zaloog. He is seing a lot less of play, just because
of Dark World monsters.
First, I want to discuss his stats:
1400 ATK, DEF 1500. Decent stats, enough to kill
Sangan, Skelengel and all those small beatsticks
that people splashes into their decks. He CAN get a
boost, as United sees a lot of play. Maybe he takes
a big hit from Tomatoes and Shing Angels. But he is,
as I have said, boostable. He is Searchable by
Sangan and Mystic Tomato.
Second, playability:
Yes, he can be splashed into most tournamentdecks,
that aren't some kind of wierd thing thingy
losing-deck. Actually he is one of those cards that
really CAN be thrown into the most decks, if he is
searchable.
Card discarding is always good, killing your
oppponent's poor cards, exept for the Dark World
ones, rising from the graveyard killing 2 of YOUR
cards.
That is the big con with Don, the sudden apperance
of Dark World cards, surprisingly good in this
format with 2-3 Reapers, Don and a Confiscation.
Dark World is, exept Cyber Dragons, the only good
theme released after Flaming Eternity. The only
playable one anyways.
Third, Overrated?:
Is Don Zaloog, the always so popular
Warrior-Monster, overrated?
That is a question that is impossilbe to answer,
even if you see it in every
single Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Forum/Board. He COULD be
overrated, or he ISN'T. His effect is godlike, but
his stats are just decent, he nearly would have been
a Staple-Monster (That's something that doesn't
exist , I know. Anyways ;P) if his stats were
something like ATK 1700 DEF 1500.
So, that's it. If Pojo Crew likes me I will send you
more articles about single cards.
