Subject: magnetic gilford? -DMC

So, you wanna clear the field in a unique way using a usually, tentatively useless card? Want to use some other underrated cards? Here we go.

Gilford the lightning. If you tribute 3 cards to summon him he raigekis your opponents. Because of this effect his attack is only 2800... but on a clear field its 2800 DDamage assuming traps aren't in the equation (heavy storm?)

Along those same lines there's moisture creature, who is the same as gilford in eery way except he has a harpies feather duster effect instead of raigeki.

Next up. magnets, everyones favorite little warriors.
Not really, but they are nifty because of the biggy valkyrion. If you discard alpha, beta, and gamma from your hand or field he can be special summoned. also he can be tributed to summon those 3 from the graveyard to the field. I also believe, by the rules set out from my local judge (and the fact the card specific rulings at upperdeck didn't mention it) valkyrions tributing effect CAN be prioritized if it gets bottomlessed or torrentialed, etc because it would be sent to the graveyard anyway by its own effect.

Theis here, tribute the three warriors from your hand to get valky out, then tribute him to get them on the field. Since that was all special summoning you can summon moisture or gilford at your leaisure. You cna backup soldier alpha and gamma from the graveyard for future use, and soul ressurection also works on them (a trap that summons one normal monster from your graveyard into defense position, otherwise its a call of the haunted) so you have options. Wouldn't it be great to summon moisture valky, then tribute, then summon moisture, then backup and soul ressurection, get another valky out to set up for a gilford next turn? not to mention valky itself is a 3500 attacker, if the field is already clear he's pretty godly. and there's lots of options for these guys. add in a pot of avarice to get valky out of the graveyard (his effect will not allow him to be reborn in any manner, he can ONLY be summoned by the magnet warriors)

Another nifty fact. if you can no longer summon valkyrion but have one in the hand, he is an 8 star, meaning he can be used singularly as tribute to get out demise, king of armageddon, who at the cost of 2000 LP clears the field and is a 2400 attacker.
Which also follows the clearing stuff.

see, old promos do have some new tricks ;)

Oh, and for the science geeks woh may be reading, something to consider.

Magnets *can* create electrical charges, so by tributing magnets for gilford you are simply charging up his blade for him.
Also, if i rmemebr my chem right, if you run a current through water it seperates the water molecules, creating oxygen and hydrogen, that in an enclosed space reconstitute and create water vapor, or moisture....

Yeah, valky was made for those 2 right there. Its scientifically proven.

DMC, out.
