cookie-cutter Warrior toolbox - GUYOBRAINS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ah, the. I'm one of those who prefers originality over power, but I'm not gonna say anything bad about this deck. After all, what could be more original than multiple copies of Cyber Dragon, Mobius the Frost Monarch, and Spirit Reaper in a Warrior deck?
For those of you who play with a deck fitting that description...God, what is wrong with you people?
As important as I think originality is, I think sticking to what you claim you're using is far more important. The typical Warrior toolbox uses multiple (often three) copies of the cards I listed above. And yet not one of the three is a Warrior-type. So why'd they get put in Warrior decks? Because they're good. But I don't care how good a card is, it doesn't need to be put in every single deck you make.
What people seem to be doing is noticing they have a few cards that share a common theme, and claiming that their whole deck has that theme. For example, the typical Warrior toolbox. Granted, Warrior-types are the predominant type in the deck. But there are usually almost as many, maybe even just as many monsters that aren't Warrior-types in the deck. And yet it's still called a Warrior deck.
No. That's not how we're supposed to do things.
So here's what I want you to do. Send me your themes. Send me a deck idea you'd like to see built that could be competitive. And don't give me something vague, like chaos or burn. I want actual themes. If I build a Warrior deck, it's not gonna have a single Cyber Dragon, Mobius the Frost Monarch, or Spirit Reaper in it.
Base them on specific cards, like Dark Scorpions, or E-Heroes. Base them on specific types, like Dragon, Fiend, heck, you can even give Plant a shot. You can base them on character's decks from the show. You could even base them on specific card sets, for all I care.
All I care about is getting your themes. However, know one thing: I'm building these decks from scratch. I'm not going to take a deck you built and fix it. Everything you see will be completely me.
It's a dueling revolution, people. You will see new deck ideas from me, and never-before-seen decks will be used around the world. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. But you'll definitely see some cool decks, truly dedicated to the theme they claim to be.
Send questions, comments, and most importantly, THEMES to GUYOBRAINS@aol.com.
