Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Ah, the typical Warrior toolbox. It's powerful, no doubt. How else could it dominate every other deck people try to build? Now, I'm one of those people who feel it's more important to use a fun, original deck than a boring, yet powerful one. But I'm not gonna say anything bad about the Warrior toolbox. After all, it has some originality to it, too. I mean, what could be more original in a Warrior deck than Cyber Dragon (Machine), Breaker the Magical Warrior (Spellcaster), and Spirit Reaper (Zombie)?
God, what is wrong with you people?
For those of you who use a deck fitting this description...you deserve to be punished for desecrating the name of the Warrior deck by using Machines and Zombies (the Spellcasters I can live with) in said deck. See, I'm also one of those people who believes that you should only use a card in a deck if it aids the theme of the deck. It's called a WARRIOR toolbox. So why are you putting in Cyber Dragon? It's not a Warrior, it's a Machine. And even if it weren't, it'd be a Dragon. That's why it's called CYBER DRAGON! Yet it's often run in multiples along with Spirit Reaper in the normal Warrior toolbox.
And don't think that's the only deck doing it. I've seen decks made all over the place that claim to be some theme and have cards that don't even fit the theme in the slightest. People are looking at their decks and noticing that a few of the cards share a common theme and decide that means their deck is that theme.
No. That's not how we're supposed to do things.
So here's how we're gonna do things from now on. (This would be a LOT easier if I was a featured writer.) I want you all to send me themes. Send me every theme you can think of. Then, I'll take those themes and build decks from them. I'll send in as many decks as I can, at least one a week. But don't give me something vague, like control, or burn. You could send it, but...it's likely you won't see it. That, or it'll be a little different from what you hoped.
Send me themes based on specific cards, like Dark Scorpion and E-Hero. Or send me themes based on monster types, like Dragon, Machine, heck, you could even give Plant a shot. You can send me themes based on character's decks from the show. Or you could even send themes based on certain card sets.
I really don't care. All I care about is getting your themes. And don't try to ignore it, either. You can't stop me from sending decks in. If you won't send me themes, I'll just come up with them myself. So you may as well help. It's a dueling revolution, after all. We all need to pull together for this. It's gonna be epic.
New decks will be seen. Powerful decks. Ones people could never have imagined. Well, actually, they will have imagined them. How else would I post them? Anyway...here's how it'll work if you do send your decks.
I won't build a deck I've already built unless new support and such have become available since the last time I built it. This is affected by new ban lists, new sets, etc.
Every theme I get will have a deck built. You may not see it for a while...but if you send a theme, you will see it.
This isn't deck fixing. That's not my thing. This is building decks from scratch. So don't send me decks and ask me to fix them and post them. Send me THEMES.
If you follow these rules, we can all be happier for it. People can use decks totally dedicated to the theme given. If I make a Warrior deck, it won't have a single Cyber Dragon or Spirit Reaper in it, and if Breaker the Magical Warrior is in there, it's because the deck is a Warrior-Spellcaster hybrid or something.
Chances are people will ignore this. Don't. I'm not some amateur hoping people will pay attention to my articles if I act like I'm some great player. I know what I'm doing. The decks I build won't just be for fun. I'll try to make them as competitive as possible. One thing you should know is that these decks will be built for Advanced Format.
Anyway...send your questions, comments, and most importantly, THEMES to GUYOBRAINS@aol.com.
