Trading Card Game Tips from fans
From:
Thomas Griffin [mailto:ironchefgriffin@yahoo.com]
Hi. I'm Thomas, and I've got a heads up on what to look for in the upccoming pack; Enemy of Justice.
I went to the sneak preview, and I have to say, I'm impressed. As for the people eagerly awaiting the destiny heroes, sorry, theres not much other that ok support. The monsters stink. However, the e-hero fans may have a glimmer of hope. With some new support cards, and a couple new fusions, we may see some e-hero decks become playable. But I'll talk more about that later.
You may laugh at me now, but fairies are on the loose (and getting pretty deadly). After going to the sneak preview, I instantly knew the playability of fairies. I will spell it out for you: OHKA. In a less useful word(but useful none the less): GORYU. Now to e-heroes.
H.E.R.O. those are quite possibly the key to e-hero playability (well, maybe not H). Heres the gist of it: E- Search for a monster with elemental hero in its name from your deck to your hand R- Destroy spells and traps on the field equal to the # of cards you have on the field with elemental hero in its name
and my favorite...
O- Take one normal monster with elemental hero in its name from your graveyard and special summon it to your side of the field.
All of these (exept for R) give new meaning to e-hero fusion. It makes it so much easier. And with the new Pheonix Enforcer (which I got lucky enough to pull at the preview) and his older, but much harder to summon brother, Shining Pheonix Enforcer, It could get deadly. Although mariner could see some play (with messenger of peace), and necroid shaman probably shouldnt see play(but you might try anyway), e-hero fusion is about 3x better.
Now, the fairies are coming to get you! Trust me on this. Faires are getting support cards. And with a few more powerful monsters, they could finally have their own deck (that's what I'm doing anyway). And now to pioneer the fairy deck!
MAJESTIC MECH - OHKA. Light. ******. Fairy/Effect. ATK/2400 DEF/1400
You can normal summon this card without Tributing a monster. If you normal summon it this way, It is sent to the graveyard during the end phase.
Now, don't laugh. If thats not enough for you, consider this...
MACRO COSMOS- not only does it have its own quick play magic torrential+300 damage (grand convergence), and special summons helios-the primordial sun from your hand or deck, but it is also a banisher of light. Combo that with this card and...
MIRACULOUS DECENT- Basically a call of the haunted for removed-from-play fairies.
And if thats not enough, there is a slightly more powerful OHKA.
MAJESTIC MECH - GORYU Light. 9*. Fairy/Effect. ATK/2900 DEF/1800.
You can normal summon this card by tributing 1 monster. If you normal summon it this way, it is destroyed during the end phase. (Insert trample effect).
Hmm... You wanna keep OHKA on the field, but you want to bust him out the first turn? Interesting request...but NO PROBLEM!!!
CELESTIAL TRANSFORMATION- quick play spell
Special summon one fairy type monster from your hand. halve the atk of that monster and destroy it during the end phase.
Give up a lowly fairy monster and sac it. Instant OHKA. or have 2 for an instant GORYU. It also has other uses too. Need I bring up an old ugly fairy?
The Agent of Force- Mars. Not affected by spells. Instant special summon. no halving ATK, no destruction of your monster. Just make sure you have The Sanctuary in the Sky. Oh.. did I just bring up yet another fairy support card?
Battle damage to the controller of a fairy type monster from a battle involving that fairy monster becomes 0.
Just think... and last but not least(well maybe least, but he is definently useful)...
MAJESTIC MECH - SENKU. Light. 4*. Fairy/Effect. ATK/1000 DEF/500. If this card attacks your opponents life points directly, draw 1 card from your deck. This card is sent to the graveyard at the end of the turn it is normal summoned, flip summoned, or special summoned.
Now I know youre thinking "Is this kid retarded?" NO! Trust me. You dont know how many times I've Celestialed this card, got their LP, drew another, celestialed that one, got to their LP, then drew either OHKA or GORYU, then summoned him.
Well, I hope that when you're building that fairy deck, you think "Hey, Thomas Griffin pioneered this deck." I'm pretty sure this is a playable deck, but if not, its loads of fun. Remember, theres nothing like the look on your opponents face when he's summoned a cyber dragon, and you pull out an OHKA in a similar style and wipe it out.
Well, thats all for my first article, and I hpoe there's more to come.
