Subject: The big MM... the new meta?-- Chaosmech
Hey everyone. I've decided to swallow my pride (ha
ha) and start sending in tips again. Especially
since I discovered a hilarious combo (in my opinion)
that could be worked into a game-winning deck.
What could it be? you wonder. Well, it involves five
parts, so it's fairly complicated. But four of the
five parts are/can be useful outside the combo,
so it helps set itself up.
The Fat Five are:
A Monarch (Zaborg, Thestalos, Mobius)
D. D. Scout Plane/Survivor
Macro Cosmos
Robbin' Goblin
Begone, Knave!
Have you figured the combo out yet? If you haven't,
I'll explain it to you.
It goes like this. You have Macro Cosmos, Robbin'
Goblin, and Begone, Knave!
face up on the field. You also have a D. D. Scout
Plane/Survivor (both of which will simply return, no
matter how they're destroyed as long as Macro Cosmos
is face-up) on the field. Now, simply tribute for
the appropriate Monarch (Zaborg usually works best)
using your DDS(P). That monster is removed from
play. When Zaborg hits the field, he destroys a
monster, which is also removed from play. If your
opponent has any face-down monsters, you should
destroy those, and attack the face-up ones. If
Mobius, destroy your opponent's defensive S/Ts. Your
Monarch does damage, taking a card from the hand of
your opponent (which is also removed from play), and
also RETURNING THE MONARCH TO YOUR HAND for use next
turn. At the end, your DDS(P) comes back, and you
have ready tribute bait for your monarchs. Repeat
until your opponent's entire hand is gone.
Once that's done, they'll be reduced to topdecking.
If it's a monster, they can either set, in which
case Zaborg can nuke it, or summon it, so Zaborg can
nuke it, or summon and attack your DDS(P) which will
be removed from play and come back next turn, and
then Zaborg nukes it. If it's a S/T, hopefully you
have Mobius in your hand by now, so you tribute for
Mobius and
nuke the S/T. If they keep it in their hand, you
could tribute for Thestalos
if you have it, or just attack with your DDS(P) and
take it from their hand,
then summon/set your DDS(P) in your Main Phase 2.
And because your Monarchs continue to return to your
hand after doing damage, they are safe from
destruction, and all you have on the field are your
DDS(P)s, which when destroyed return anyway.
Granted, this whole combo rides on Macro Cosmos and
having a Monarch. But given a certain build (5
monarchs and three Macros) you can almost guarantee
you'll have at least part of the combo. Begone
Knave! is the only part that doesn't really hold on
its own, although you can use it as a bit of pesky
bounce if you're desperate. And the rest of the
cards in the deck will hold their own, with or
without Macro Cosmos. And if your Monarchs are
bouncing, you can rest assured that your Goblin hit
made up for your lack of field presence.
So, without further ado, I give you Macro Monarch
Control!!

Raigeki Break x2
Return from the Different Dimension x1
Why two Lightning Vortex and two Raigeki break? If
you wanted to, you could discard those D.D. Scout
planes in your hand while Macro is on the field, and
use the effect for virtually free. Also, with
Monarchs constantly bouncing to your hand, you will
have quite a large hand size, and you'll want to
utilize those cards without having to meaninglessly
discard them at the end of your turn. Bazoo pumps
himself, and primes the D. D. Scout Plane pistol if
they went to the Graveyard before Macro was on the
field. Banisher
is for Macro Support. Mask of Darkness is for
retrieving those crucial traps
from the Graveyard should they be destroyed.
That's all. I hope you enjoyed it, and if anyone
tries this out and wins something big, please let me
know! I'd like to know I was right.
Keep it cool, y'all.
