Snipe Hunter, A HAAS?- Jun-Tao

Snipe Hunter has been seeing a lot of action lately. It's one of the most broken cards in the current format. But I don't see why every deck I"ve come across lately seems to either main or side-deck it. I dueled a DW deck, saw it. DK/DD deck, saw it. but didn't see the point. Save for Six Samurai, I've seen it in every deck. So what? Pitch card, roll a die, you have a 2 in 3 chance of hitting the target. So on that 1 in 3 chance you miss, pitch another and roll again. almost always you hit at least on the second time, if not, third time's a charm.

That is why this card is broken. As long as you have cards in your hand, just keep rolling. I've looked up the ruling on it and there's no limit on how many time you can use it's effect. I used to run it with aset of thunder dragons. But i saw so many people using it, I decided to break the consistancy and nolt run it at all. I've started running Raigeki Break and Newdorias in his stead. Still lose a card with Raigeki Break, but it's guaranteed that you get a card off the field.

Don't get me wrong Snipe Hunter is a good card, but not a great card. Some people might go as far as to force themselves into a top-deck to maximize it's effect to clear the field. I took my revised deck to a tournament (it's a Bazoo-REturn deck w/o the Card Troopers) and many people, even the tournament head, advised me to run it. It can't even run with the DW decks. It's a cost. The thing that has annoyed me with this card is my opponent uses it's effect multiple times to clear my field for a 1500 direct hit. Not worth the three pitched cards.

What would make this card better, not better, more of luck is that if UDE errata-ed (made up word) it's effect to where it's effect would read that you can only activate this effect once per turn, then it would be better for the current format. But because it's repetitve use in one turn, it's broken.

In my opinion, Snipe Hunter is not a HAAS. Honestly, I could probably see this card being semi-limited in the next format. But maybe not, since there's a good three to four moe sets coming out between now and then. If I worked on the Pojo crew, I would give this card a
3/5 Advance Format. It's good, just broken.
