Trading Card Game Tips from fans

August 2007

The Premium Power of Marshmallon - Mark

The Premium Packs are finally coming out, and with the best card in Yugioh history!!! Though few were giving out at ComiCon (I’m not sure where, really), it officially comes out in October and becomes tournament-legal. It has 11 Cards in the set…..!? With 5 Cards per pack… In the set, there are…….. Six Secret Rares and five Super Rares!? And you get…. THREE SUPERS AND 2 SECRETS IN EACH PACK!?!? WOAH NELLY!!!! I’m not gonna dabble around about what’s in them right now, but I will review one:

First Hint: It’s the best card in the game

Second Hint: Yugi used it once

Third Hint: It owns

Fourth Hint: If you read the article name, you know what it is…..

MARSHMALLON!!!

This Level Three Light-Fairy Marshmallow can’t be killed in battle! What’s more, to make up for it’s 300/500 stats, when it’s attacked while face-down it sticks 1000 damage to the opponent! Just as Spirit Reaper is a staple on almost every deck there is, Marshmallon will become an extreme staple to EVERY Deck there is. Since it has no drawback whatsoever, it will instantly become the best card in the game. It helps:

Monarchs, tribute fodder

Stall and Burn, by stalling and burning

Aggro of all types, by providing the perfect defense

Any Deck in particular!

Next, we’ll see what it can do:

()Attack- At least it can

()Stall- Our sticky friend is tough to get off the field

()Burn- 1000 free Burn never goes unwanted. Heck, it can be used multiple times with Book of Moon

()Tribute Fodder- This adorable marshmallow will always be there for you!

()Pay- If you need Marshmallon for a cost, or just to be there!

There, I thought of 5 exetremely important things Marshmallow Dude can do, right off the bat! No doubt Premium Packs will go as fast as the Nintindo Wii. Speaking of which, if you have one we should register each other! I made Zelda, Kenny, MJ, Jesus, and even Master Chief as Miis and you’ve GOT to see them! And the new firmware update sucks! The play history paper looks like a ZOMBIE!!! And the clock ruined the futuristic feel of my Wii!!! OK, back to other things L.

If you want to take the power of the game’s best card (a marshmallow!?) up another level, you can. Marshmallon Glasses is another Secret Rare card, and it’s also the only non-Ritual Spell in the set, excluding the Card I’ll review next. Hmm, what could that long-awaited normal Spell Card be? When you activate this Continuous Spell, the only monster your opponent can attack becomes….. Well, I wonder who? It certainly can’t be Marshmallon, I know that.

I don’t think Marshmallon Glasses is very good. Although it can protect your other monsters from attacks, the downsides are just too much!

()You need a face-up Marshmallon

()Marshmallon will be Limited. That makes it hard to activate

()Will not block effects

()Is vulnerable because it needs to stay on the field.

Until Next Time
