Cards to Look at in Gladiator's Assault (Spoilers!) - Mark

Gladiator’s Assault is the name of the next pack, and it will have a LOT to it! It should have the same composition as Tactical Evolution does, and like CyberDark Impact with combos, Strike of Neos with Six Samurai, Force of the Breaker with Volcanics, and Tactical Evoltion with Venom, Gladiator’s Assault will have it’s own new theme. It introduces Adrian Gecko’s Cloudians and showcases “Gladial Beast” Cards, and even features Evil Heroes. I will not be covering those themes in this article!

Instead, I’m going to point out cards that people should end up eating each other over. Like when I went to the Sneak Preveiw Saturday, I got nothing good, bought another 5 packs, and I got a Crystal Seer!!! Nobody would get away from me!!! I even turned down 50$ offers! WELL IT’S MINE I TELL YA!!!! MINE!!!! AND MY MINT CONDITION TIN JINZO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK…. I’m done. But I do bring them wherever I go. We watched Spongebob together!!! But that show does kinda suck…. But do you ant to know what doesn’t suck? It’s called

Cloudian – Smoke Ball

OK, so it can’t attack or defend, and it’s a vanilla, but it’s cuter than Watapon!

Cloudian – Sheep Cloud

Well, this one has NO stats at all, and isn’t even as cute as Smoke Ball! When Sheep Cloud’s destroyed (YOU KILLED SHEEP CLOUD! YOU B@$%@^&!) you get two Cloud Tokens, but it must be by battle, and they only get tributed for Cloudians. This is a +1 when it’s killed. It WILL get some use, because it gets replaced. I really like it.

Infinity Dark

A 1500-ATK Gemini. When it attacks (supposing it’s been Second Summoned) you change an opponent’s face-up monster’s position. It MIGHT see lots of play. It can slice into a Monarch’s weak point. Or even suicide into a now-DEF position beastie, and have another monster kill that. Nice.

Shein’s Counciler Enishi

2200 ATK. Summoned only by removing two Six Samurai monsters from your Graveyard from play. Instead of his attack, he can remove an opponent’s monster from play.

Expect to see more Samurais running rampant, because tey now have faster Swarming, bigger Beatsticks, and Chaos.

Elemental Hero Plasma-Vice

The next big fusion is performed by the unity between Sparkman and Bladedge. Not only does he keep Bladedge’s ATK and effects, you can alsodiscard one Card once per turn to destroy one of the opponent’s Attack-Position Monsters!

Swing of Reminiscence

This Normal Spell acts as a one-turn revive for a Normal Monster in your Graveyard. Oh great, as if Normal Monsters didn’t have enough killer broken cards already -_-

Funny enough, this card’s picture is a swingset.

Soul-Absorbing Bamboo Sword

Remember Broken Bamboo Sword? New Card that equips you with……. Nothing. IT DOESN’T DO ANYTHING!!! Well, this is a continuous Spell. You target a monster equipped with that Sword, and whenever it inflicts damage to the opponent’s life points, you get their Draw Phase skipped. The drawback to this card is that it gets destroyed after the 2nd Standby Phase of yours after activation. This could get abused… Big time.

Resolve of the Six Samurai

This Quick-Play is the last thing that the Six Samurai (6S for short) squad needed to become killer, tied in with Shein’s Counciler Enishi. You tribute a 6S and special Summon one from the Graveyard. You can abuse this in so many different ways: Special Summon the one you tributed to free it of another card’s target, Special Summon it back in Defense Mode to avoid things such as Mirror Force and Sakuretsu Armor. Heck, if you’re summoning Enishi, and you have an important 6S in the Graveyard, which has only that card and another 6S, use Resolve of the Six Samurai to switch him out and remove the one you put in. And then there’s the obvious get-the-better-one-out. There’s so many different uses for this card that it’s crazy broken.

Cell Explosion Virus

Mirror Force for Aliens. The attacking monster must have an A Counter, though. THEY ARE NOW SO BROKEN.

And that’s it for now. Keep in mind that these are all Japanese names. Though Gladiator’s Assault won’t be nearly as anticipated or nearly as good, it will still make a dent in the game…. Almost. It doesn’t even have any staples! Oh well… Only in America.
