Decks Making it Big - That Guy

Yugioh is a very old game that is still going strong, though many people argue it is dying. But thanks to the new format, it got a second breath and so did many decks that were born back in PGD (yes, Pharonic Guardian) or before.
The new format is upon us. No more Troop Dupe Scoop, Brain Control every other turn, Ring for game, Snatch for game. More decks are coming out of the shadows. I've made a list of decks that have what it takes on making it to Tier 1 and decks that will be Tier 1.5.

Gravekeeper's - They will be 1. As long as Necrovalley is with you, the 500 attack boost and graveyard control lets you make the opponent win without the grave as a tool. Spear Soldier will dominate Scapegoats, Chief at 2400 will tie Monarches and Jinzo. Commandant for Necrovalley, Rite of Spirit Commandant, tribute for Cheif, special summon Commandant with Chief's effect will go big. Spy can swarm and defend well and Assailant has one of the greatest effects in the game for a face up. This deck is and will prove to be very explosive.

Six Samurai - Gravekeeper's rival. They have it all and all is what they need to be 1. Get rid of backfield threats with Yaichi and Kamon. Monsters with Irou and Zanji. Great Shogun is the easiest 2500 monster to summon. Combos are infinite. I can't say enough about the Grandmaster. Much better than Cyber Dragon and he has the famous combo, Samurai, Grandmaster, Shogun to back him up.

Crystal Beasts - This is like 1.25. When they can crystallize with Abundance, it's a win. When Heavy Storm, Trunade, Breaker, MST hit the field, it stops em depending on which disruption is used. They could be big if someone could play them right. Sapphire Pegasus is one of the better cards in today's themed decks and Rare Value is no push over. It's power to draw 2 at such a simple cost may draw people into playing this deck.

Exodia - I talked about him in my last article and I still believe he's a shoe in for 1.5. With Dustshoot and C. Destruction at 1 and Confication banned, Exodia becomes easier to pull with cards such as Dekoichi, Emissary of the Afterlife, Dark Mimic, and Des Lacooda.

Zombies - This deck type is most debatable. Though the swarm is magnificent, if the new IL Blud is destroyed, down goes the swarm and if the Zombie controller can't finish the game in 1-2 turns, the opposing player can get rid of the Zombie line up pretty quickly. On the other hand, with cards such as Call of the Mummy and Book of Life bringing out Despair From The Dark, Ryu Kokki, IL Blud, and even Vampire Lord, the swarm is still top notch and Zombies can end the duel in a few turns. Card of Safe Return also provides ample drawing to get the cards needed and Pyramid Turtle is one of the better defenses/searchers. This could be 1 or bust and drop.

Vanilla Monsters - Vanilla is the short term many use for Normal Monsters if you didn't know. These monsters just got the greatest support ever in Tactical Evolution. Though it was probably meant for the Geminis, it works for these beatsticks also. Enough 1900s to go around and Blue Eyes White Dragon complimented by Frostosaurus top it off for a muscle bound beatdown. Ancient Rules, Symbols of Duty, Common Charity, Justi-Break. The cards are just too good to be ignored. This deck at 100% is broken. Tier 1.5.

Harpie Ladies - With the Queen and Raiza, this deck is girl beatdown. It's so easy to bring out Harpie Lady 1, Sisters, and Hunting Ground and with that, 2450 is the weakness of Monarches and Jinzo. This could be big depending on the build. Obviously, stick with Harpie Lady 1, Queens, and just 1 Sister. 1.5

Warrior Toolbox - ROTC stayed at 2, big break for this deck. To go along with it, Marauding Captain, Commanding Knight, Don, Freed, Exiled Force, this list doesn't stop. Warrior's have the best support for a type deck and though none has appeared for a long time, they're bigger than ever with the fall of Trooper and Brain Control. This will break 1 with the proper cards. A smart player knows which 40 out of 100,000,000,000 to choose from in a Warrior Deck.

There are more, but I chose to elaborate on those because, besides Crystal Beasts, these are ancient decks that deserve credit and now they just might get it. Just keep practicing and you might slip on 1 that will bring you Title Gold.
