August 2007 Deck Fix: Roshan Mandal's Zombie Ratbox
Yesterday, I received two decks from the same person. However, I just want to say this: Absolutely no deck fixes will be done for you if you don’t send me the request the same day I post one. And sorry, I will only select one of those Decks to be in one of these articles. I am exetremely busy and often times, these articles can get in the way. I was, however, very surprised at the number of requests I received. I wish I had the time to touch up all of your decks, but some people just have things they need to get done. This deck is a Ratbox with a few zombies. And here it is:
Monsters
Giant Rat x2 Mirage Dragon Neo Spacian Grand Mole Pyramid Turtle x3 Ryu Koki x3 Exiled Force x2 Jinzo Magician of Faith Spirit Reaper Vampire Lord Sangan Night Assailant Hydrogeddon x3 Breaker the Magical Warrior EH Wildheart Zombie Master x2
Spells
Lighting Vortex x2 Mystical Space Typhoon Premature Burial Smashing Ground Enemy Controller Brain Control Scapegoat Swords of Revealing Lights Book of Life x 2 Heavy Storm Shrink x2 Creature Swap Pot of Avarice
Traps
Mirror Force Torrential Tribute Call of the Haunted Royal Decree x 2
Well, first will be monsters. Now, since this is Zombies and Ratbox, I don’t see how Hydrogeddon lives up to it’s name. Let’s drop all 3 of the to open up new strategies.
Night Assailant’s gotta go. Flips are just too slow for this deck, and he barely compliments any of the other cards in this deck.
With Jinzo, Mirage Dragon, and those Decrees, this deck hates traps. But we’ll drop Mirage Dragon for now.
And lastly, we don’t need the Ryu Koki triplets. We’ll cut it down to one.
On to Spells. Scapegoat will slow this deck down. It’s all about swarming, and with more trap negating, we don’t need to worry too much about going all out. While it’s still a good choice, there are better out there. I don’t like Scapegoat in swarming Decks.
Two copies of Lightning Vortex are too much. There’s already enough removal packed in here, and the opponent will be defending more than attacking. Take one out.
And for the Traps. Torrential Tribute has to go. Really, it isn’t a staple. In a swarm deck, it will often take out more of your monsters than the opponent’s.
And now we’re gonna add some things in here. Well, we’ve trimmed the deck down from its previous chunky 46 or so. We took out 7 Monsters, 2 Spells, and a Trap. 46 – 10 is 36, giving us little room to fill.
I’m not going to add anything to the Traps. They don’t like this deck. To the Spells, I’m putting in that extra copy of Book of Life. Total: 37 For monsters, we’ll add three copies of Il Blud, a secret rare from Tactical Evolution, and that’s all. However, this card is the best zombie in the game to most people, and it can costs around 80$. I don’t think Roshan would like that. If you can’t gather all of them, another Ryu Koki, a second Jinzo, and/or a third Zombie Master will probably do.
I will accept deck fixes only during the day this article was posted, and I will only choose one. NO COOKIE CUTTER DECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!! This including things like DDT, Destiny Hero Beatdown, and other decks like that. If it is your deck that you created without copying anyone, and you would like some help with it, send it to me, or any comments to destinyhero@verizon.net. However, if your name is Laurie and you’re a jerk, please don’t. I wish I could do everyone’s deck, but I just don’t have the time for it. Keep in mind that I will put it in an article. |
