Life Point Tracking - Megaverse
Almost everyone uses the old paper
and pencil method of tracking life points in yugioh.
Well, I'm gonna present some alternative methods to
that, because it takes up a lot of paper and is slow
and clumsy.
1. You can go out and buy one of those fancy life
point gizmos that they sell now, even found one in
our local card shop recently, personally, I really
don't like them.
2. You can use the calculators to keep track of life
points. Drawbacks to this are if you make a mistake
and hit the wrong button, you lost the score and
this can lead to arguments! Calculators are cheap
and almost everyone has one
3. The bead method. This is what we use on a regular
basis. Once you get the hang of it, it's much
simpler and quicker than anything else, plus each
person is responsible for keeping their own score.
They are nothing more than little colored glass
beads that you can find at Wal-Mart for around a
dollar a bag. Most people use them for fish
aquariums etc.
Here is how we do it...
Red Beads are 1,000 points each
Clear or white beads are 500 points each
Blue Beads are 100 points each
Amber or Gold Beads are 50 points each
If you want to go down to 25 points, you can add
another color.
Examples:
Start off with 8 red beads (8,000 life points)
Let's say you get hit for 1200 damage, put two red
beads in the center pile and get back one
clear/white bead (500) and three blue beads (100ea,
for a total of 300) Altogether a total of 800 points
you get back from 2,000 you put in.
Once you have worked with it a bit, you will see how
much easier it is!
