Trading Card Game Tips from fans

July 2007

building the dark world deck-RACECARbakword

dark world monsters=awesome field presence
ok so if you dont know what dark world monsters are then i'll explain

dark world monsters are monsters having to do with discarding from your hand. their effects are unique and different.
this dark world deck im making today is just dark world. nothing else. i've seen variety from dark world diamond dude to dark world trooper to dark world.... ya thats about it.
well lets get started

Spells
since it will be easier to explain, i'll start off with magic and traps first.
besides the staples here are the spell cards
first up card destruction

Card Destruction-
You and your opponent discard your entire hands and draw the same number of cards from your respective decks that you discarded.

some may think as card destruction as a staple. i think its almost splashable. well anyways. like i said before, dark world monsters effect have to do with discarding.this card will make you discard your dark world monsters, but thats not a bad thing. why? i'l explain later. this card could also kill whatever your opponent had planned. and you get to draw.

Dark World Dealings- both players draw one card. then they discard one card.

ok. so you and your opponent draw. then discard. so whats the big deal? well first off you get to draw, which is almost always good. then you discard one card. of course since this is a dark world deck, you'll be discarding a dark world monster that fits the nature. ill explain more on that.

Dark World Lightning-select1 face-down card on the field and destroy it, and after that, select 1 card from your hand and discard it to the graveyard.

its nobleman of crossout with almost MST. and the other effect is that you discard one card. of course ill explain strategy later.

The Cheerful Coffin-discard up to 3 cards from your hand to the graveyard.

remember those days (if youve been playing since LOB/MRD) we laughed at this card. it still does. haha i once used this as my first move at a local tourney. they didnt know what deck i was playing. the guy laughed at me and called his friends. and they started laughing at me. then a few seconds later, one of them said "i never thought of it like that". muhahahaha. ill explain about this card later. oh yeah and since it is up to 3 cards you can discard 1, 2 or 3

Traps
all staples here except one

Dark Deal-you can only activate this card by paying 1000 life points when your opponent activates a normal spell. The effect of that normal spell becomes "Your opponent discards 1 random card from their hand".

two words:Plain Evil... haha not really. enough said about this card.  ill explain it later

Monsters
now to the fun part.
NOTE: The effects of discarding for these effects for monsters CANNOT be costs.

Reign-Beaux, Overlord of Dark World-If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, Special Summon this card. If this card is Special Summoned this way, destroy all monsters OR all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls.

Enough said. ill explain this later. NOTE: Pronounced rainbow. not raign bowx.

Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World- If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, Special Summon this card to your side of the field. If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect, you can select up to 2 cards on your opponent's side of the field and destroy them.

Enough is enough. explain later

Sillva, Warlord of Dark World- If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, Special Summon this card to your side of the field. If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect, your opponent selects 2 cards in their hand, and returns them to the bottom of their Deck in any order.

I will explain this later.... I promise. i promise

Brron, Mad King of Dark World- When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can select 1 card in your hand and discard it to the Graveyard.

Something i can explain. 1800 beatstick. and if it inflicts battle damage i CAN discard. but its optional. muhahahaha.

Scarr, Scout of Dark World- When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, add 1 Level 4 or lower monster that includes "Dark World" in its card name from your Deck to your hand.

the searcher. gets you bronn or the next two cards to your hand. or you might just pick another scarr.

Kahkki, Guerilla of Dark World- If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, destroy 1 monster on the field.

use cheerful coffin.... kaboom kaboom. wahoo. monster destroyed.

Gren, Tactician of Dark WorldI- If this card is discarded from the hand to the Graveyard by a card effect, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.

MST MST, youve been limited. where art thou? here it is. except its all gray and ugly, but still gets the job done.

Morphing Jar-FLIP: Both players discard all cards in their hands. Then both players draw 5 cards.

wahahaa........ another card destruction for me

Some explaining i promised
OK. so if you havent got the idea of the deck yet then well youre reading the right place
so there are monsters you are most likely special summon from your own card effects by discarding them.
Goldd and sillva. ok. so they get special summoned when theyre discarded. and you havent normal summoned yet.
both their attacks are 2300. powerful enough to take down Cyber Dragons. not enought to take down monarchs. but thats why we got kahkki and smashing grounds
imagine on your first turn you play cheerful coffin and special summon 3 monsters with 2300 attack using cheerful coffin. muhahah.
and there are a lot of discarding in this deck. morphing jar and all this other good stuff. you discard, you special summon. thats the way things go.
gren and kahkii dont get special summoned, but they get to destroy monsters, spells or traps depending on which you discard. scarr fetches you out the dark world monsters.
and bronn is just there for the beatstick and when you need it discard.
the dark deal is the one to pay close attention to.
pay 1000 LP. your opponent wastes a magic card and you get to discard one card randomly. wouldve been sweet if it wasnt random. but o well thats life. if your opponent selects goldd then you special summon a 2300 plus destroy two cards. if silvaa gets picked then you get a 2300 and you get to return two cards to the bottom of the deck. and finally if they choose reign-beaux then you get a 2500 that has the effect of raigeki or harpie's feather duster.
