Hello there to all you vistors of Pojo.com, this
is Dr. Werewolf. In the past half-month, two
huge events took place: The new ban list, and
the release of STON. Both of these have hurt
several decktypes, some to the point where they
can't be played.
5. Dark World wasn't hurt very badly, but the
banning of Graceful Charity will take out one of
Dark World's summoning engines. However, the
release of STON fixed that with the release of
Dark World Deal, which is why Dark World is
number five on the list.
4. Monarch control was hurt by one card in STON:
Pulling the Rug. As soon as it is released, you
can bet that it will be side-decked (or main
decked). Taking out three monarchs is no small
feat, especially because the Monarch's player
summon for the turn is gone, and so is one of
their beasts.
3. Chain Burn was damaged by the limiting of
Chain Strike, and the banning of Magician of
Faith. Essentially, this deck type has been
destroyed, because the burn of Chain Strike can
only be used once. A pity, too. Not only was
this decktype new and popular, but it was one of
my favorites.
2. Chimeratech OTK had been damaged in the last
list by the limiting of Future Fusion. Now,
another blow has been blown on the mighty
decktype: the limiting of Overload Fusion. There
are now only two cards in the Chimeratech deck
that can realistically summon the Overdragon
with a game-ending amount of attack points.
1. Finally, the entire Spellcaster archetype
has been hurt by the banning of Breaker. I am
sure that there are several outraged people out
there tearing their hair out of their heads,
screaming about how their deck has been
completely destroyed, about how they are ready
to burn down the UDE headquarters, etc., etc.,
but relax. Breaker's banning is a heavy blow on
the game, but it allows new decktypes to
flourish. For example, with one less S/T
destruction card, stall has a chance to make a
comeback.
That's all for this time. Enjoy every day of
your life, because time, once spent, never
returns
