Bright Box -
HydroDragon
Woohoo, it's me again. Since last time, I've been
looking around for a new deck idea, and have fiddled
around with a few 'questionable' cards. The end
result is some sort of Light Warrior deck, which
tries to make use of the equip card Light Laser, as
well as some Fusion Monsters. I know it gets bad
draws, I know it's very unstable and I know it
wouldn't do very well in a competitive
environment...well, I think so anyway. But
regardless, here it is.
Monsters - (23)
Gilford The Lightning(2)
UFOroid(2)
Shining Angel(3)
Rocket Warrior(3)
D.D Warrior Lady(1)
Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke(2)
Cyber Dragon(3)
Thunder Dragon(3)
Sangan(1)
King of the Swamp(2)
Blade Knight(1)
Spells - (14)
Light Laser(3)
Reinforcements of the Army(2)
Brain Control(1)
Polymerization(3)
Heavy Storm(1)
Mystical Space Typhoon(1)
Future Fusion(1)
My Body as a Shield(2)
Traps - (3)
Mirror Force(1)
Torrential Tribute(1)
Call of the Haunted(1)
Fusion Deck -
Cyber End Dragon(3)
Cyber Twin Dragon(3)
Sanwitch(3)
UFOroid Fighter(3)
Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon(3)
And anything else I can get my hands on. King of The
Swamp + Polymerization + Brain Control means I can
potentially get anything out...
So, a quick review.
Monsters -
Well, as you can see, I have the basics in the form
of D.D Warrior Lady, Cyber Dragon, Sangan and
Shining Angel. As you usually see only those cards
in any competitive deck, this is what I meant when I
was talking about 'questionable' cards. Gilford The
Lightning and UFOroid. Well, Gilford's a Light
Warrior, which means he can be equipped with Light
Laser, and he has 2800 attack points. His effect is
not so important, but should it happen to go off,
it's a bonus. He fuses with UFOroid to create an
impressive 4000 monster. This can be either through
Future Fusion or a simple Polymerization. Next, we
have the Light Warriors - Rocket Warrior, Blade
Knight and Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke. A good combo is
to equip Rocket Warrior with Light Laser. This way,
he can happily attack stronger monsters, protected
from death and even battle damage by his effect,
while Light Laser removes the bigger monster from
play. Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke is the closest thing
to a 'Solid' Light Warrior you'll find outside of
D.D Warrior Lady. His effect is relatively good,
destroying anything in face-up defense position that
he attacks. Plus his 1800 attack is quite good. A
copy of Blade Knight is there for the novelty
really, but he can be surprisingly good in the early
game, negating Dekoichi, Skelenel, and whatever that
Apprentice Magician spits out. Thunder Dragon is
there to make Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon...though I
really ought to try justifying it by running Snipe
Hunter. King of the Swamp searches out
Polymerization and can act as a Fusion material
also.
Spells -
The Spells are also rather uncommon. Light Laser is
the deck's main card, removing anything that the
equipped monster does battle with. This can be
anything from various recruiters such as Giant Rat
and Mystic Tomato, little Sangans and Treeborn
Frogs, or even Dark Magician of Chaos!
Reinforcements of the Army searches out the Light
Warriors, and Polymerization tries to cook up
something beefy with the junk that I often find in
my hand. Future Fusion makes UFOroid Fighter, and My
Body as a Shield offers some protection to my
stronger monsters. The other spells are rather
Staple-like.
Traps -
Well, just the basics. Mirror Force, Torrential
Tribute and Call of the Haunted try to keep me in
the game for as long as possible.
So there you have it, my stab at a Light
Laser/Warrior/Fusion deck. If you have any comments,
nasty or nice, drop me an E-Mail at iwan.llew@hotmail.com
Good Day!
