Draw 9 cards in one turn -
Old School Yugi
Hi Pojoers,
Old School here and today I’m going to talk about
Good Goblin Housekeeping. Now I know that people see
this card and thinks, “big whoop…”
The truth is that this card can allow a person to
draw 9 cards in one turn.
The easy part is activating them, the hard part is
getting the cards you need.
First, you need to have 3 Good Goblin Housekeeping
set. Second is activating “Emergency Provisions.”
Now here’s the explanation. When you activate 1 Good
Goblin Housekeeping, you get one. You then chain the
second Good Goblin Housekeeping, which give you 2
more. Then you chain the third Good Goblin
Housekeeping, which gives you 3 more. Now here’s the
hard part to understand (but it works) you chain
Emergency Provisions and use it on all of the Good
Goblin Housekeeping.
The first Good Goblin Housekeeping will now see that
you drew one for the effect, and you draw again
because Emergency Provisions sent the first one to
the graveyard before the effect could resolve. So it
reads that it has to draw another one for itself.
The second Good Goblin draws two more cards, since
you draw 2 for the effect and 2 more (Emergency
Provisions sent it to the graveyard before the card
could resolve, so the effect reads that it has to
draw the effect for
itself.)
And the third lets you draw 3 more.
The total cards drawn is 12, you then have to finish
off with the last effect of Good Goblin Housekeeping
and place 3 cards in the bottom of the deck. Here's
a little diagram of what happened.
Good Goblin housekeepling
1 draw, 2 draw, 3 draw. = 6
Activate Emergency Provisions
1 more draw, 2 more draw, 3 draw. = 6
6+6=12
Second part of Good Goblin Housekeeping -1 for each,
so -3
12-3=9
This is hard to pull off, but the rewards are great.
Also you get 3000 life points. That was why it was
semi-limited in the first place. I’m not sure why
they made this unlimited. Of course you have to take
into account how many cards were just invested in
this combo. 4 cards, the net gain is 5 cards, but
that is one hell of a good draw. Thanks for reading.
