Trading Card Game Tips from fans
September 2007
Yo, Ace here.
haven't posted anything on pojo for awhile but
that doesn't mean i haven't been reading. I have
been looking at all the new decks that everyone
have been posting and sad enough, they all look
the same. Everyone runs Cyber Dragon, Mobius,
Raiza, Thestalos, Malicious, Marshmallon, and
other stupid things like that. I have gotten
sick of going to my local tournament and winning
it because i can predict almost their every
move. Why, cause they run the same cards. Can
someone tell me why everybody runs these cards?
To me, all of these cards suck.
Let's be real
for one moment. In a duel, when was the last
time that a card in your opponent's hand
effected a duel. Never. That's when. So what is
the point of Thestalos. So what, it's 2400ATK
and he can do a little bit of direct damage. If
he discards a monster, since we can run 2 Pot of
Advice, most likely, you will see that card
again. So in a way, you wasted the effect.
Then there is
Razia. What can i say about this card? I kinda
like his effect. But why send a card back to
your opponent deck. That just means your gonna
see that card again. you might know what your
opponent draws that turn, but do you know when
gonna play it. if you send a continuous card
back he/she is gonna wait until they have the
right cards to develop a combo with that card.
So once again, you might see that card again.
Now
Malicious. Why do people run this card? I guess
people don't know about Peten, the Dark Clown or
Troop Dragon. I know that you can get Malicious
anytime. But the only time your gonna get him is
when your field is destroyed or when you need a
monster to sack off. That's the only time i see
Malicious effective. But now, thanks to the ban
list, you can only use that effect once. Ha Ha.
Mobius. I
cant say nothing about this card cause i run it
and that would be hypocritical of me to talk
about a card that i run. I really don't see
nothing wrong with this card anyway except for
the fact that everyone plus their momma abuses
this card. Sorry Mobius. Shouldn't be so good.
Marshmallon.
tis tis tis. this card already looks lame. At
first i didn't know why people ran this card.
But i read the card. Now i know. It doesn't have
that lame effect that Spirit Reaper has.(you
know if it is target with a spell or trap.) And
it might have a plus since your opponent takes
1000 damage when he/she attacks it But the card
is to rare. their isn't really a flaw with this
card but your properly wont find it unless you
go to the regional tournament. So if you find
it, run it.
And last but
not least. The one the only Cyber Dragon. To be
honest, their isn't a flaw to this card. The only
reason that I'm talking about this card. is
because people run it wrong. I've seen decks on
pojo and my the local tournament and wondered,
are people really running this card right. There
is a difference between a using a card in a
tight spot and depending on that card. That what
alot of people are doing.they act like you take
out a few monsters and their last hope are their
1 or 2 Cyber Dragons. Ha ha ha ha. I wish
someone would try to defeat me with a Cyber
Dragon. If you allow your deck to be broken down
that your last hope is a Cyber Dragon then you
need to edit your deck.I run Cyber Dragon but i
dont allow it to be the deciding factor in a
duel.
I guess the
moral of my story is be above the influence.
Just cause everybody else runs it doesn't mean
you need to run it. It might run right for them
cause that how the beat their opponent. So next
time you build you deck, make sure you run cards
that your use too. card that you are comfortable
with and allow to defeat for opponent the way
that you like.
