Forgetting the Better - That Guy
People should know me now as a
duelist I like to call "Believer"
By this I mean that the duelist believes one day,
Yu-Gi-Oh! will be a game of knowledge, skill, luck,
and diversity. Diversity is such a key thing to this
game's life. We all know or think that the new
format and cards from TAEV will bring more decks
back to life and yes, that will be true. To go along
with that, Marshmallon came out also and will take
Lockdown Burn to another height. I, like so many
other people, believe Crystal Beasts, Zombies, and
Gravekeeper's are a shoe in to make it big. Beasts
also have made a stand but what about the other 30
decks that live in the game. Harpies, Warriors,
Spellcasters, Amazons, Cyberdarks, etc. They all
could come out and play but there is a deck type I
would like to discuss today. Beatdown is the focus
and this deck has the best support card in the game
next to Magical Dimension.

Woah! Archfiends? But they are good. After play
testing for a while, they went toe to toe with the
Il Blud impact Zombie Deck. Topped the Crystal
Beasts. Lost to only 1 deck, the one I wield. How?
They have no tricks up their sleeves. No Crystal
Abundance, no Great Shogun Shien, no Il Blud, so
how? This deck gets damage done so fast, your
opponent won't know what hit them. Let's start the
explaining.
Terrorking was an obvious max 3. Though you can't
normal summon or flip when there are no Archfiends
on the field, when you do have one, or 1 of the 4
revivals, can bring on the heat. Infernal Queen
helps top the strong monsters with an errata effect,
Dark Bishop protects against designators, Vilepawn
can create a lock which explains Giant Rat, and
Desrook can bring back a fallen Terrorking. UFO
Turtle is for Infernal Queen and Dark Ruler Ha Des
is the biggest monster in here to top Monarchs and
Jinzo by 50, as well as negating effects destroyed
by any of the fiends and himself. Then you got
Spirit Reaper and Marshmallon. They were recent
additions and normally I don't stick cards like
these in decks where they don't belong, but it was
needed. When Archfiends run out of moves, these 2
help buy some time. On to spells
Falling Down is the greatest support card next to
MD. Takes control of any monster and you can max it
out to 3. Though you do take 800 damage per
opponent's stand by, your oppnent will probably take
5 times as much. A great ender. Axe of Despair is
needed because Cyber Dragon is there and these
monsters need a good equip. The rest are self-explantory.
Traps are also self-explanatory. Archfiend's Roar,
though a 500 lp cost and a 1 turn return only, can
make that dead Falling Down come alive, stop
attacks, or win the game.
So there is the Archfiend deck. If you are in a
state of shock, get the cards for this deck (because
it is the cheapest thing ever [besides Mirror
Force]), and play if yourself. If you don't want to
spend your time on this...
