TGC Tip: Blue-Eyes Shining Doom - Yubel-user
Deck Name: Blue-Eyes Shining Doom Author: Yubel-user Count: 44
I got an email from someone who read my yubel deck article and he asked me asking if there is support for a deck that would use blue-eyes shining dragon. To me, it isn't really worth it because of summoning but it can do some real damage if it gets out onto the field. There IS a fair bit of decent support for dragons so I threw together a deck that used the blue-eyes beatstick. Some of you are going to see that this tactic has been done before, except this time I've switched the emphasis a bit.
Monsters: 20 Tribute: Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon Blue-Eyes White Dragon Blue-Eyes White Dragon Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Non-Tribute: Decoy Dragon Decoy Dragon Divine Dragon Ragnarok Divine Dragon Ragnarok Divine Dragon Ragnarok Infernal Dragon Lord of D. Lord of D. Lord of D. Mirage Dragon Paladin of White Dragon Paladin of White Dragon The Dragon Dwelling in the Cave The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion

Traps: 9 Dragon's Rage Dragon's Rage Good Goblin Housekeeping Good Goblin Housekeeping Good Goblin Housekeeping The Dragon's Bead The Dragon's Bead The Dragon's Bead Wall of Revealing Light
Fusion Deck: 6 Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Five-Headed Dragon King Dragun King Dragun
So, to the main tactic. Future fusion is this deck's best friend. It can be used to have blue-eyes ultimate out in two turns. If you happen to have a shining dragon in your hand at that point, out comes the beatstick. Its ability to negate any card that target's it is fairly handy and should keep it safe to do some damage or until mirage dragon comes out.
Decoy dragon. I love this guy. Assuming you've lost a blue eyes of any kind or big dragon you can bring it straight back. handy, neh?
Five headed dragon. The OTHER beatstick of this deck. He can also be brought out with future fusion but that may or may not be a good idea. Once future fusion goes, so will this guy. But then again: decoy dragon.
Lord of D. and flute of summoning dragon. These should be no brainers.
De-fusion and super fusion. For the blue-eyes OTK…. Ish. If you get a blue eyes ultimate on the field and attack with it, you should either demolish an opposing monster or trigger a trap. If it's the monster, use de-fusion and attack again and possibly, re-fuse with super fusion and beat down again. If it's a trap, chain it with de-fusion and suddenly the trap's target is gone. i love using that trick.
Dragons mirror. A bit of a last ditch. I would only use it for five headed dragon myself as once those blue eyes cards are out of play then that's just about every other tactic gone.
Light- hex sealed fusion: for when you can't find that last blue-eyes white dragon.
Dark – hex sealed fusion: for when you can't find that last material for dragun.
Dragun will shield your dragons pretty well, as will dragon's bead.
Everything else just material, defence or draw engine.
