Trading Card Game Tips from fans
February 2008
Hello everyone! This is Daniel, and I like to welcome all of you back to my deck garage. Now everyone, for this article, I will be talking about my new deck fix rules like I’ve told all of you last time. After that, I will be talking about a few more things before I leave again. However, before I start, I need to tell all of you something about the new rules.
First off, I want everyone to know that 2 articles ago (posted on Jan 10, 2008), when I talked about Mohammad’s fixed gadget deck, at the end of the article, I told everyone that I will be explaining abbreviates. I’ve decided that I will not be explaining them since I will not require them any more. The reason is that I keep getting deck fixes that don’t have any abbreviates after each card. Because of that, I just decided to let that go. So like I said, you WON’T have to give me any abbreviates any more.
Now that I’m done talking about abbreviates, let’s move on to the new rules. So now, here are the new rules for my deck fixes: (Note – Please follow these rules from now on instead of the rules posted on Jan 1, 2008.)
1. The subject line of the email must say "Yu-gi-oh TCG Deck Fix"
2. The 1st sentence of the 1st paragraph of the email must have your full name in it (First name & Last name). You must also give me a little inform about your history in the Yu-gi-oh TCG. (1st paragraph)
3. Write a short paragraph explaining to me how your deck is supposed to work or what cards or combos the deck is built around. (2nd paragraph)
4. You must tell me why you want me to fix your deck. (3rd paragraph)
4. Your deck must be under the current advanced format.
5. Make sure that the main deck has at least 40 cards in it.
6. If your deck doesn’t use a fusion deck and/or side deck, please tell me before giving me the deck list. (4th paragraph)
7. You must set up the deck list like this: (Note – If your deck doesn’t use a fusion deck and/or side deck, please don’t brother with the setup for them.)
Deck Name - Main Deck: (# of cards in deck) cards
Monsters: (# of monster cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Spells: (# of spell cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Traps: (# of trap cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Fusion Deck: (# of fusion monster cards) cards
1 Name of card
[So on]
Side Deck: 15 cards
Monsters: (# of monster cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Spells: (# of spell cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Traps: (# of trap cards)
1 Name of card
[So on]
Here is an example of a deck under this format. Please be aware that this is the same deck I’ve fixed last time. Plus, this will be the same deck I will be looking at next time.

8. You must write how many copies of each card there are in that area of the deck before giving me the name of the card.
9. Finally, like I said earlier, you do not have to give me any abbreviates for cards in the deck list. However, if I have a hard time trying to figure out what a card in the deck does, I will e-mail you telling you to explain the card(s) to me so that I know what the card(s) does/do when I fix the deck.
Remember everyone; you must follow all of these rules in order for your deck to be fixed by me. IF YOU BREAK OR DO NOT FOLLOW AT LEAST ONE RULE ON THIS LIST, I WILL NOT FIX YOUR DECK. Please be aware of that. Now, I have a few more things to say before I leave again like I said earlier.
First off, I want everyone to know that you must follow these new rules from now on instead of the ones posted on Jan. 1, 2008. These new rules should be easier to understand that my old rules. Plus, these rules are very similar to my old rules, but the new ones make more sense.
Second, I will remind all of you again that I will not be fixing any decks in February. I will start fixing decks again in March because I feel that a month isn’t enough time for all of you to try your new fixed decks in tournaments due to the next ban list coming in March. That’s why I will not be fixing any decks next month, but I will still be accepting deck fixes. Remember again, please follow these rules instead of the ones posted on Jan. 1, 2008.
Third, I will tell all of you again where to send the deck fixes. If you want your deck fixed by me, or you want to talk to me about anything related to my deck fixes or the Yu-gi-oh TCG, please e-mail me at Kids6@worldnet.att.net. I will be happy to talk to you. However, if it’s a deck fix, please follow these new rules.
Next, I will tell all of you to please send me your decks under the most current ban list. When the ban list changes on March 1, you must follow that ban list instead of the one posted on Sept. 1, 2007. However, when the ban list changes, I will post another article explaining what ban list your deck must be under in order for your deck to be fixed by me.
Finally, I must remand everyone that I am busy man. So it may take me some time to read your e-mail and send one back to you. But, I do love getting e-mails from all of you. So please feel free to e-mail me if you ever want to talk to me.
That’s everyone I wanted to talk about. Next time, I will be talking about Jason’s Cyber Dragon deck that I fixed last time. After that, I will start talking about brand new deck ideas and card combos that I thought about over the month and that might see play in a tournament one day. Plus, some of you might take my deck ideas and try to build decks similar to the ones I talked about. So please keep your eyes open for my future articles.
That’s it for this article, everyone. I hope you enjoyed it. Goodbye and see you next time.
- Daniel
