Trading Card Game Tips from fans
JULY 2008
I have long held a little obsession for the insect
cards in Yugioh! and eventually got around to making
a deck around the little fellows. Here it is in a
nutshell.
Monsters: 20
2x Doom Dozer
3x Swarm of Scarabs
3x Medusa Worm
3x Swarm of Locusts
3x Des Lacooda
3x Howling Insect
3x Stealth Bird
Magics: 12
1x Level Limit Area B
1x Swords of Revealing Light
2x Nightmare Steelcage
3x Messenger of Peace
3x Card Trader
1x Heavy Storm
1x Pot of Avarice
Traps: 8
2x Pulling the Rug
2x Magic Jammer
1x Gravity Bind
3x Threatening Roar
On the Monsters:
Right so, the general idea is to get Swarm of
Locusts/Swarm of Scarabs or Medusa Worm on the field
so that I can destroy a Monster and Trap/Magic per
turn. Des Lacooda lets you draw into important cards
and gives you more options for Card Trader. Stealth
Bird is there for pure psychological reasons,
opponents normally try to get rid of it instead of
the bugs. Howling Insect is in for a bit of speed.
Swarm of Locusts would normally be its search target
as I don't normally attack with this deck until the
back row is empty.
Doom dozer is there for a Heavy Storm
finish(Assuming that the Scarabs and Worms have
cleared out the defence)
On the Spells: As many things to lock the battle
phase for my opponent as possible. Card Trader for
replacing dead cards with new ones. Pot of Avarice
is there in case I get hit by something like
Torrential.
On the Traps: Ideally I would have Solemn Judgements in
here instead of Pulling the Rug but I don't own any
at the moment. Magic Jammer to stop Storm instead of
Dark Bribe because I will normally have quite a
large hand. Threatening Roar as a chainable to a
Storm or Mobius if I don't have the counters set up.
This deck is quite hard to deal with as many cards
just don't do anything against it. Plasma can be
troublesome but so few people seem to like him.
Well thanks for reading this, if you want to fix it
up or tear it apart completely feel free.
