Hello, again, everyone. Master
of Shadows has another deck fix for you, the
first in a long line of them today, so let's
get to it, shall we?
Hi,
I've been playing yugioh since it ever came
out, and I am currently trying to fix my d.d.
monarch deck/macro monarch deck, to have a
chance at beating some of the lightsworn and
D.A.D decks. I am wondering if you can
take a look at my deck and see if there is
anything I should add, take out, etc...
My deck is as follows:
Monsters: 19
1 tribute monsters
- Raiza the storm monarch (1)
- Cyber Dragon (1)
- Caius the shadow monarch (1)
- Mobius the frost monarch (1)
non-tribute monster
- Kycoo the ghost destroyer (2)
- D.D. scout plane (1)
- D.D. assailant (1)
- Exiled force (1)
- Spirit reaper (1)
- Gravekeeper's guard (1)
- Gravekeeper's spy (1)
- D.D. survivor (3)
- Old vindictive magician (1)
- Sniper hunter (1)
- D.D. warrior lady (1)
- D.D. warrior (1)
Spells: 13
- Fissure (1)
- Different dimension reincarnation (1)
- Dimensional fissure (3)
- Mystical space typhoon (1)
- Heavy storm (1)
- Reinforcement of the army (1)
- Brain control (1)
- Soul exchange (1)
- Swords of revealing light (1)
- Scapegoat (1)
- Lightning vortex (1)
Traps : 8
- Trap dustshoot (1)
- Solemn Judgement (1)
- Macro cosmos (3)
- Bottomless trap hole (1)
- Torrential tribute (1)
- Mirror Force (1)
I will add/add more of the following cards
into my deck as soon as I get them :
- Thestalos the firestorm monarch (2)
- Cyber dragon (1)
- Caius the shadow monarch (2)
- D.D. scout plane (2)
- Gravekeeper's spy (2)
- Marshmallon (1)
- Solemn Judgement (2)
- Bottomless trap hole (1)
Please tell me if the cards I am planning to
add to my deck will be good choices to add
to my deck. Also, I have seen many
other people use 2 crystal seer, 2 cyber
valley, and 3 allure of darkness in their
d.d. monarch deck/macro monarch deck, so
please tell me if I should add those cards
as well. Thanks!!!
Let's see what I can do here. As usual, we
have to cut some things:
- 1 Cyber Dragon
- 2 Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer
- 1 Exiled Force
- 1 D.D. Warrior
- 1 Gravekeeper's Guard
- 1 Gravekeeper's Spy
- 1 Old Vindictive Magician
- 1 Fissure
- 1 Soul Exchange
- 1 Scapegoat
- 1 D.D.R. - Different Dimension
Reincarnation
I cut 12 cards from this deck. That's a bit
lower than usual. I don't have as much room
to work with, but that could mean that your
deck was just missing a few things. No
problem. Cyber Dragon went because you'll
almost always have a monster on the field.
Kycoo because with Dimensional Fissure and
Macro Cosmos, his Graveyard removal (and
Graveyard lockdown) effect becomes useless
because there often won't be anything for
him to remove. Exiled Force went because
virtually your entire monster line up can do
its job. Gravekeeper's Spy and Guard left
because their main purpose is as Tribute
bait and field presence and with D.D.
Survivor and Scout Plane, that's taken care
of. Old Vindictive Magician for the same
reason as Exiled Force as well as Fissure (which'll
be replaced by something else). Soul
Exchange because you have enough Tribute
bait. Scapegoat because you'll often find
yourself unable to use it because of D.D.
Scout Plane and Survivor. D.D.R. - Different
Dimension Reincarnation to make room for
Return from the Different Dimension,
something that should always go in this kind
of deck (you never know when you'll need
it).
Now to add in a few things:
+ 2 Caius the Shadow Monarch
+ 2 D.D. Scout Plane
+ 1 D.D. Assailant
+ 2 Cyber Valley
+ 2 Enemy Controller / Book of Moon
+ 1 Reinforcement of the Army
+ 2 Solemn Judgment
+ 1 Return from the Different Dimension
12 out, 13 in brings you just above where
you started. Caius can remove anything. The
extra D.D. Scout Planes to increase your
chances of drawing it and therefore
increasing your chances of being able to use
it. D.D. Assailant for more removal and as
something of a defending beatstick. Cyber
Valley for a bit of draw power that works
nicely with D.D. Scout Plane and D.D.
Survivor. Enemy Controller and Book of Moon
(whichever you go with) are there as
protection against either battle or a Dark
Armed Dragon / Gladiator Beast Gyzarus /
Judgment Dragon push. Reinforcement of the
Army to pull D.D. whatever. Solemn Judgment
to help protect you.
The reason I didn't put Allure of Darkness
in here is that, even though it would fit
well in here, it almost doesn't belong in
here as you'd end up removing a key monster
that would rather be played from your hand
like Caius or D.D. Survivor (who won't get
his effect by being removed from the hand)
or even Snipe Hunter, and you don't want to
waste a D.D.R. on the last one (and
sometimes not even D.D. Survivor). Allure of
Darkness is a good card, but it's not too
good for this deck.
That's all for now. Comments, etc. can be
sent to

Until next time....
