Zombies, the up-and-comers-Crzydrvr
Hey guys! I'm back with another article, this time
related to Zombies.
That's right, this article is all about the dudes
who eat people's
brains. First off I'd like to look at a popular
Zombie card, namely
Zombie Master:
Zombie Master
LV4/DARK/ATK: 1800/DEF: 0
[Zombie/Effect]
Once per turn, you can send 1 Monster Card from your
hand to your
Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower
Zombie-Type Monster
from either player's Graveyard.
Traditional: 2 stars/5
Advanced: 4 stars/5
This card is half of the duo of
cards that brought Zombies back into
playability. Its effect speaks for itself, after
all, who doesn't like
special summoning? In my opinion, it's a weaker
version of Il Blud
that's simply quicker. Discarding a monster can be
good when used the
right way, but 0 DEF sucks, with all the Enemy
Controllers running
amok. But it's still a viable card in every Zombie
deck.
Now some of you may be wondering
why I'm doing an all-zombie article
today. I'm writing this article because Zombies in
terms of power have
shot over the roof the past few months. They're
viable contenders for
SJCs and Nationals, all cuz of 2 cards. Il Blud and
Zombie Master have
single-handedly brought respect to a type that was
long
ignored/considered weak. With that comes popularity.
Zombies have
completely shot through the roof in terms of
popularity, and much more
players are taking control of Zombie decks. In the
near future expect
a few new deck-types to emerge countering the
Zombies. But for now,
it's their turn in the spotlight.
Now that that's done, I have a
deck to show you guys based on both
Zombie Master and Il Blud:
Zombie Chaos x41
Monsters x20
x3 Il Blud
x3 Zombie Master
x3 Pyramid Turtle
x3 Goblin Zombie
x3 Plague Wolf
x2 Caius the Shadow Monarch
x2 Spirit Reaper
x1 Mask of Darkness
Spells x13
x2 Book of Life
x2 Enemy Controller
x2 Lightning Vortex
x2 Allure of Darkness
x1 Monster Reborn
x1 Heavy Storm
x1 Smashing Ground
x1 Hammer Shot
x1 Pot of Avarice
Traps x8
x1 Mirror Force
x1 Negate Attack
x1 Magic Cylinder
x3 Good Goblin Housekeeping
x2 Dust Tornado
The whole deck is based upon
revival. Il Blud, Zombie Master and Book
of Life all revive the likes of Spirit Reaper,
Plague Wolf and
themselves. Goblin Zombie searches Il Blud, Zombie
Master, and Spirit
Reaper. The Caius' are added to bring a little more
ATK to the deck
since it's pretty weak ATK-wise while adding it's
killer effect. The
GGHs' are to help speed up the deck and draw speed.
Overall, it's a
pretty strong Zombie deck that actually might have a
fighting chance
at any major tournaments such as regionals.
That's
all for now! Don't forget to cast your vote for your
