Gigaplant Swarm - Jessenator

Hey again guys. This is the Jessenator back with some more articles. Last time I did a feature of fiends because one of my friend is starting to play again and he needs some quick fixing. A lot of people sent me questions and deck fixes, but one shined upon the rest.

The Plant Deck—

In my opinion, I think plants are more stable than zombies. Especially because of the instability of Il Blud. By giving up the privilege of fishing your opponent’s graveyard for zombies, the monster Gigaplants Special Summons can stay on the field if Gigaplant is destroyed.

Lord Poison is basically like a pyramid turtle, but you can Special Summon ANY plant in your graveyard! Since it only has 1500 attack,  you can play the pyramid ram strategy and grab Gigaplant or Fairy King Truesdale back from the grave.

Blazewing Butterfly is like a summoner for Gigaplant. Eventhough it requires 2nd summoning before activating its effect, but the monster that it brings back GAINS the effect. Ex. Sacrificing butterfly to Special Summon Gigaplant, then Gigaplant Special Summons butterfly again. You’ve turned 1 monster into 2!

Lonefire Blossom is techinally an Uber-Searcher. By tributing 1 plant monster on your side of the field, you can Special Summon any plant type monster from your deck??? When I read this card, I rubbed my eyes to make sure UDE didn’t make a mistake! This card is godly, by packing 3 of these and 3 Gigaplants. You almost insure to have a gigaplant in your hand / field your first turn!

UFO turtle can be set the first turn to get out Lonefire / Blaze faster without having to play it from hand.

(my ideas / techs)

Fairy King Truesdale is a booster or a beat stick. The 500 ATK. Boost may be small, but it gives Gigaplant enough power to run over Dark Magician of Chaos, Dark Armed Dragon or Darklord Zerato! This card is optional though.

Birthright is like a “Call of the Haunted” for Blazewing Butterfly / Gigaplant and it can stop your opponent’s battle phase.

Swing of Memories is a MUST because it brings back Gigaplant / Butterfly for one turn and you can 2nd Summon it to gain its effect. Then you can use that to Special Summon something else. Eventhough the monster is destroyed end of turn, you get its effect once and get to attack once. (but preferred to bring back blazewing b/c you can tribute to Special Summon Gigaplant.)

Raigeki Break is an optional but good card. Sometimes it’d be better to destroy instead of spinning the card on top. And it gives the option to discard a dead card to grave.

OK, let’s start with a simulation

You set UFO turtle on your first turn, then play foolish burial to dump Gigaplant from your deck. You opponent attacks UFO, you SS Lonefire Blossom. Next turn use its effect to SS gigaplant from deck, 2nd summon it to bring back the one you dumped last turn!

TA-DA, you got two 2400 Nukers at your disposal! And getting this hand is not rare, and this deck usually wins at about 3-5 turns at the most.

Here’s the deck that I’ve finalized-------

Super Alloy Gemini Beast thingy

Effect: all Gemini gains their effects when face up on the field

For this card, there is a format called Gigaplant FTW (first turn kill), which I WILL do an analysis on the deck build on my next article.

CONCLUSION:

This deck may seem effy when looked at, but it is actually faster, bigger and better than zombies. The 3 Gigaplants give the chance of having actually 3 Il bluds, combined w/ Card of Safe Return, creates a good source of replenishing cards in your hand. This deck is better than zombies because the monsters are bigger, like Gigaplants is a 2400 Nuker than can crash with monarchs and get Special Summoned next turn without worries as monarch will have troubles.

I’ve tested this deck against Magical Explosion FTK, Dark Armed Dragon Turbo, Diamond Dude Turbo, Standard monarch deck, Zombies, Sixth-Samurai, Gadgets, LADD ..you name it. This deck has been undefeated except by the Dark Armed Dragon.. but out of 5 matches we’ve played. I’ve won 3 out of 5. Which is a 60% (^_^ , passing grade)

THE COST??!

WOW this is the cheapest, fastest, most efficient deck you can get for your money. I’m hoping they can become tier 1.5 at least after DAD gets an emergency restriction (come on UDE, do the right thing!).

3 Giga = 3 dollars

3 Lonefires = 3 dollars

3 Poison + 2 UFO turtle + all the rest commons = 2 dollars

2 Blazewings = 2.5 dollars

3 Card of Safe Returns = 3 dollars

2 Foolish Burials = 5 dollar (substituting future fusion is cheaper)

2 Vortex = 2 dollars

1 Birthright = 1 dollar

You should already have common dust and mirror if you’re an up to date yugioh player..

All together this would be 25 dollars AT THE MOST for a fun and competitive deck!

Ok guys, have fun and play hard!
