Trading Card Game Tips from fans
March 2008
Hello, once
again everybody, to CaptainFalcon's deck
garage. I have finally decided to name my
different articles for a deck garage, just
because most of my articles have decks in
them. I am here, of course, to present you
another deck out of the garage. It involves
Gearfried the Swordmaster, and a bunch of
other warrior monsters to swarm the field,
and beat your opponent.
I had recently
traded for one Gearfried the Swordmaster,
seeing that I would have two, that I could
make a deck out of them. It is a fairly low
budget warrior deck, having spent no money
at all to aquire the cards.
It has in it, a
lot of really old cards that have really
never seen play in local or any tournaments,
so I don't know how the deck would do. But I
am mostly just a "play for fun" type of
person.
So, without
anymore paragraphs about useless things you
really don't need to know, here is the
deck. I call it:
When
Gearfried Popped Out Of His Iron Shell:
Monsters: 15
x2 Gearfried the
Swordmaster
x3 Gearfried the
Iron Knight
x2 Exiled Force
x1 Spirit Reaper
x3 Elemental
Hero Wildheart
x3 Indomitable
Fighter Lei Lei
x1 D. D. Warrior
Lady
Spells: 16
x1 Heavy Storm
x1 Lightning
Vortex
x1 The Warrior
Returning Alive
x3 Release
Restraint
x3 Black Pendant
x2
Reinforcements of the Army
x1 Premature
Burial
x1 Brain Control
x1 Mystical
Space Typhoon
x3 Creature Swap
x1 Monster
Reborn
Traps: 6
x3 Waboku
x2 Sakuretsu
Armor
x1 Magic
Cylinder
Yup, there is
the deck. It is one of the lowest budget
decks almost anyone can make. The only cards
that may cost a little money are the
Swordmasters. Most of the spells are
searchers to get Gearfried out. Then you
equip him with a Black Pendant and destroy
one of your opponents monsters.
I put Wildhearts
in there because of their effect. I just
like seeing my opponent squirm because of
the face down Sakuretsu Armor, Mirror Force,
or any other Trap that would cause him to be
killed. The Gearfrieds are explainable. I
put the Indomitable Fighters in there for
pure beatdown. Summon one, then Reborn
another, then attack directly, and your
opponent will hate you.
Reinforcements
is in there to search for a Gearfried or get
a Lei Lei, or anything else, depending on
the situation. I like Black Pendant, because
when it is destroyed it deals 500 to your
opponent. That 500 can be very helpful. Even
though it raises by a little, it can help
you out, say, more than an axe of despair.
I like Waboku.
It is just a card that nobody plays anymore,
but I like it. It is a very easy card to
aquire, so if you don't want to buy a Mirror
Force or Dark Bribe, just use things like
Waboku or Threatening Roar.
I have been
saying things to replace high dollar cards,
just because people ask me, hey, I like your
deck, but can you tell me replacements for
Jinzo, or other costly cards. I just wanted
to get that out to everybody.
So, if you want
me to tell you what you can replace for hard
cards to get, or have any questions,
comments, or suggestions, email me at
dougkrivanek@yahoo.com and I will answer
every email when I see it.
