Hi, I think this is about my second rant,
but never mind. I just want to point out why
you should never buy beckette's
magazine.
A) They're affliliated! I might be wrong,
but beckette IS making a profit out of the
game somehow other then the mag. So that's
why you should never take their word on
whether or not somethings good or not.
That's what pojo.com is for. I'm not blaming
them for trying to sell stuff, but just know
that they're going to make every booster
back seem like the best ever; even if it's
not!
B) They never ever ever ever ever ever
ever ever ever ever ever put a totally
original deck on the mag. Mainly they just
feature decks like pc which almost everyone
knows. That's not bad, but it gets boring. I
think it would be a HUGE improvement if the
looked and posted good but wild decks, like
my masked turbo, or a monarch-Dad hybrid or
SOMETHING! Instead, they get their 'team' or
individual and try and do the best they can.
Unfortunatly, they just take decks that
everyone knows and make their own version.
The same goes for everyone who writes in to
pojo. Try and be adap [As Different As
Possible], or unless your writing style is
absolutely STUNNING, you'll get boring fast.
Just don't post if you dont have anything to
write.
C) All the decks you make, go on the
internet and playtest them and improve them.
That way, when it hits the mag, it's the
best it can be. They may already be doing
this, but I seriously doubt it looking at
their 'Rainbow OTK.'. It didnt even have
cards that would've been a no-brainer for
me, like foolish burial. That dumps more
combo pieces into the grave. If they had
tested it, they would've known how to make
it better, like maybe not running THREE
RAINBOW DRAGONS!!!!!!! They didn't even have
anything to discard the dead ones.
Maybe this has evolved into a suggestion
for the magazine, but it will never be
perfect because it's affiliated, so you
can't trust 'em.
