Weird Combos things to do w/Cloudian Squall
After one of my friends said, "I need Counter
Cleaner! Most of my opponents love using
counters!" I decided to read the card Counter
Cleaner for a short moment:
"Pay 500 Life Points. Remove all counters from
the field."
A lightning bolt of intelligence hit me at that
moment. If counter only meant generic counters, then
Counter Cleaner would be useless if used against
counters with names, such as Spell Counters.
However, it does remove all counters from the field.
Cards using generic counters such as the B.E.S.
series, Miracle Jurassic Egg, Balloon Lizard, and
Dark Catapulter became sigificantly more useful in
my mind because these cards do not care what name a
counter is if there is a counter placed on the card.
With the release of Cloudian Squall, B.E.S. cards
can remain on the field for extremely long periods
of time (and use their effects if applicable),
Balloon Lizard is more hazardous to pop, Dark
Catapulter gains more counters quickly for S/T
removal, and Miracle Jurassic Egg can obtain
counters to summon a Dinosaur-Type monster faster
than just watching every Dinosaur die.
Hope this provides some inspiration for
out-of-the-norm decks.
