Deck Fix 12- Celestial Destruction - a friend
Hello, PDtamer03. I'm no stranger to deck fixes and
have been reading the ones you've been doing lately,
and I must say I'm impressed with the work you've
been doing. People on Pojo know me as Master of
Shadows, and I have a deck for you to fix here.
Anything you can do to it would be appreciated.
Let there be Light!
Total: 40
Monsters: 19
1 Majestic Mech - Goryu
1 Majestic Mech - Ohka
2 Cyber Dragon
1 Soul of Purity and Light
2 Magical Merchant
2 Mecha-Dog Marron
2 Freed the Brave Wanderer
2 Shining Angel
1 Sangan
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
1 Snipe Hunter
3 Disciple of the Forbidden Spell
Spells: 12
1 Monster Reborn
1 Premature Burial
1 Nobleman of Crossout
1 Enemy
Controller
2 Foolish Burial
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Fissure
1 Heavy Storm
2 Reinforcement of the Army
1 Lightning Vortex
Traps: 9
2 Return from the Different Dimension
1 Waboku
1 Threatening Roar
2 Dust Tornado
2 Jar of Greed
1 Torrential Tribute
The deck's goal is to beat the opponent and good.
The first version had just one Return from the
Different Dimension and one Freed the Brave
Wanderer, so Return was just a just-in-case card
used for a push when needed. Now, the goal is to
clear out my opponent's cards (mostly monsters with
Freed) and bring things back with Return to end it.
The Choices:
Mecha-Dog Marron and Magical Merchant may be the
only ones that need explaining for the monsters
portion. Mecha-Dog Marron is kind of a
deal-that-final-bit-of-damage-to-end-it monster. If
my opponent attacks into it, more than likely it
will be destroyed, hitting us both with 1000 points
of damage. If my opponent just used Dimension Fusion
or Return from the Different Dimension, then they
should be within kill range. If they kill it with a
card effect (such as Dark Armed Dragon), then they
take damage alone. No matter how they destroy it,
they lose Life Points, almost forcing a battle
exchange. Magical Merchant is to dump monsters into
the graveyard while giving me a Spell or Trap needed
from my deck.
The Spells seem obvious. Dimension Fusion wasn't
included, not because I don't have it (because I do)
but because most decks today remove cards from play,
and I don't want their monsters swarming the field
with mine.
For the Traps, Waboku and Threatening Roar replaced
the Sakuretsu Armors that were here to serve as
protection. Sakuretsu Armor saves one monster and
kills theirs, but it's not chainable, something
that's needed in the face of sudden destruction. Jar
of Greed is chainable, as well, functioning like a
mini-Reckless Greed without the skip-2-Draw-Phases
effect.
I'd also like to note that I've been having some
speed issues here. I haven't been able to draw what
I need fast enough or even fish through my deck at
such a speed (at least not one that comes anywhere
near that of the much faster decks played today).
Here's some of the cards I've been thinking about
adding:
Light and Darkness Dragon - I only have one, but I'm
questioning whether or not it would be useful in
here and whether or not I'd be able to consistently
get it onto the field with no problem.
Dimensional Alchemist - It's searchable by Shining
Angel and can remove the top card of my deck for a
small boost. Removing the top card might help speed
things up and get more monsters removed, but I'm
also worried that it may remove some important card
that I may need.
As far as what I don't have, I don't have too many
of the more expensive cards that people use (in
fact, I have very few of those). I only have 1 Soul
of Purity and Light (something that helps fuel
Return from the Different Dimension), only 2 Shining
Angel, and no Marshmallon or Gellenduo (both
suggestions I've received) to add here.
I'd greatly appreciate your fixes for this deck.
Good luck with this!

P.S. The deck is a bit ironic to my persona, isn't
it?
Hey Master of Shadows, thanks for the decklist. It
is a little ironic to your persona, but the final
bulid will be as dark and twisted as your name says.
I decided to change up your deck almost completely,
going for a swarm-type aspect for fairies. It's a
combo that I've used for a while, and I'd like to
see it being put to good use. Here's the new deck,
and the explanation behind it's mechanics:
Celestial Destruction: 40 Cards
Monsters: (20)
Cyber Dragon x2
Majestic Mech- Ohka x3
Majestic Mech- Goryu x3
Shining Angel x2
Barrier Statue of the Heavens x3
Airknight Parshath x3
Freed the Brave Wanderer x2
Skelengel x2
Spells: (14)
Celestial Transformation x3
Inferno Reckless Summon x3
Monster Reborn
Premature Burial
Heavy Storm
Mystical Space Typhoon
Card Destruction
Lighning Vortex x3
Traps: (6)
Threatening Roar x3
Dust Tornado x2
Torrential Tribute
Mirror Force
You see, I wanted to fit a return type aspect into
your build, but the emergency ban kinda disrupted my
built a little bit. Okay, more than a little, it
forced me to change it up completely. So I decided
to give you a swarm deck. The main combo of the deck
is Celestial Transformation+Inferno Reckless Summon=gg.
Celestial allows you to special summon a Fairy-type
monster to the field, in return you halve the attack
and kill it at the end of the turn. Fortunately,
Inferno Reckless Summon allows us to capitalize on
this downside and turn it into a massive advantage.
Imagine that your opponent just summoned E-Hero
Stratos on the first turn, and it's your move now.
Play Celestial Transformation, drop either Majestic
Mech- Goryu or Airknight, play Inferno reckless
summon, and bring out 2 more big attackers for free,
while your opponent is stuck with their lonely
stratos. Barrier Statue is in there to stop any Dark
special summons, and Threatening Roar is there to
stop the battle phase, crippling almost any deck out
there. Beat face with monsters, rinse, repeat.
