May 2008 Third deck list: superancient king coelacanth and shadowpriestess of ohm burn - lightedge
Hello again
everyone, I continue today with the third deck list,
lately I have been getting complaints that the
articles are a little bit short, so I am going to
small talk for a few lines…. nice weather we’ve been
having, right? No seriously, I am going to talk
about something a bit serious, I first was going to
build this deck around shadow priestess and gadgets
but in that case it would have been an otk burn with
a lot of downsides like you have to pay 4500 to pull
off the otk combo using ultimate offerings, and it
would have been an all burn deck not like this one,
this one burns and has high attackers, and besides
almost everyone is using gadgets, it gets a bit old
right? Don’t get me wrong I like gadgets even though
I didn’t get their idea in the beginning but after
watching them at a couple of duels I knew they were
a force to be reckoned with. Wow look at how much I
wrote after I said I would write only few lines I
must have a very wide computer screen to not notice,
anyway all jokes aside, let`s get to the deck list :
Monsters x20
superancient deepsea king coelacanth x3
shadowpriestess of ohm x3
7 colored fish x3
ocean`s keeper x3
cranium fish x2
thousand eyes jellyfish x1
golden flying fish x2
deepsea macrotrema x1
unshaven angler x2
Spells x14
A legendry ocean x2
pot of avarice x2
magical mallet x2
double summon x2
heavy storm x1
swords of revealing light x1
lighting vortex x1
cost down x1
dark room of nightmare x2
Traps x8
DNA transplant x3 (this is the key card that links the
whole combo)
mirror force x1
dark bribe x2
sakuretsu armor x1
transmigration prophecy x1
This is pretty much it, you expected more
huh? Well have you ever heard of this phrase: there
is more that meets the eyes, at first glance you
will think what is this? Are you kidding? Well I am
only interested in three cards in this deck to pull
of the burn combo which are: superancient deepsea
king coelacanth, shadowpristess of ohm, those two
are of course obvious, the third one is DNA
transplant, now let us see how it works : I think
this deck has made coelacanth easier to summon all
you have to do is summon shadowpriestess and then
activate DNA transplant select dark, use the effect
of coelacanth and summon any of the level four or
lower fish, then use shadowpriestess effect and
tribute all of the fishes that you summoned using
coelacanth (I prefer leaving one of the fishes to
protect coelacanth)and if you tribute all the fishes
(except coelacanth) that should damage 2400 to your
opponent and if you have a dark room of nightmare
then it will be 3300, if you land a direct attack
with shadowpriestess the damage will be 5000, then
if you could survive you opponent`s turn then you
will win next turn , this is it , let`s continue
with the rest of the deck.
As you can see I kept backup monsters that are quite
interesting like:
Cranium fish
When you use the effect of coelacanth and summon ocean`s
keeper tribute him and get this out to the field,
now to his effect, discard a water type monster to
get rid of a face down that`s granmarg the rock
monarch`s effect and please let me point out that
you can use the effect multiple times in one turn,
now for his uses, It`s very clear you destroy a face
down I would prefer to destroy spells and traps
since mirror forces are out of their leash, but if
you opponent has no spells\traps then its goodbye
for him, let`s count the damage shall we? 1600+600
that is shadowpriestess effect with dark room the
effect of cranium fish takes care of all face downs
attack with all and count the whole damage
1600+600+1700+2400+2800= 9100 that’s game.
Golden flying fish is obvious.
Pot of avarice, transmigration prophecy
You are going to be able to use these cards very early I
added them so you can use coelacanth a lot of times.
Anyway this is it the next deck list is skill drain deck
that swarms. If any one wishes to contact me they
can at
lightedge666@hotmail.com farewell. |
