Removed Drain - Knight of Ni

Ah yes.  Here’s the second of my many “hopefully great” posts.  And this one is also a drain deck design.

Speaking of my previous drain deck design, I’ve found some new cards that might do wonders for the deck.  Goblin Zombie would be a great addition (not only does it drain the opponent, but it can add Spirit Reaper, another copy of itself, Il Blud, or Mezuki to your hand).  Also, you could replace some of the stalling spells by adding some more destructive spells.  For example, you could replace the SoRL and Gravekeeper’s Servant with 2 Soul Takers (since your opponent’s life points won’t matter while you’re decking them out, it’s not a downside).

Anyways, enough about my other design and onwards to my new design.  Actually one of my great friends helped me out a lot with this design (if you’re reading this, thanks a lot Eon)!  The design for this deck is meant to deck your opponent out while making sure they can’t use any of the cards that you’ve drained.  This deck accomplishes this by making use of the Remove from Play Pile!  This deck not only drains your opponent, but it also drains yourself too, so be wary.

Without further ado, here is the design!

Return from the Different Dimension

The first thing you all probably notice is the fact that this deck has more than 40 cards.  But hold your horses!  The reason for this is the fact that since this deck drains yourself, you need to have more cards than your opponent at all times.

The Monsters:

The biggest card as I’ve mentioned earlier is Necroface.  It’s effect, if you don’t already know is: When this card is Normal Summoned, shuffle all removed from play cards into the owner’s decks.  This card gains 100 ATK for each card returned.  When this card is removed from play remove from play the top 5 cards of both players’s decks.  The first effect is kind of counter-productive, so try to abstain from Normal Summoning this card at all costs (unless of course you’re deck is lower than your opponent’s, in which case this is a great way to “restart” the duel).  Great ways to remove Necroface would be Gold Sarcophagus and Allure of Darkness.

Needle Worms are a must in any drain deck.  Morphing Jar actually isn’t that bad in this deck because if Dimensional Fissure (which will from now on be referred to as DF) is active, then you could possibly discard Necroface, instantly removing 5 cards off the top of both players’s decks.  Armageddon Knight’s effect can help you send Necroface to the remove from play pile is DF is on the field (actually I’m not sure if this works or not.  It may or may not be like Gravekeeper’s Servant + Macro Cosmos.  Please email me if you have a definite answer for this).

I loved the Soul – Absorbing Bone Towers (otherwise referred to as S-ABT) in my last drain deck so much that I HAD to put them in this design too.  They work well also because Necroface is a Zombie.  So is Pyramid Turtle, Il Blud, and Zombie Lord.

Il Blud may seem like it doesn’t fit with this deck.  Although if you keep your hand full of zombies, then it works well.  So I kept it at 1 for that reason.  Vampire Lord is in this design for much the same reason it’s in the other design.  It can regenerate (if DF isn’t on the field) and it drains when it deals Battle Damage.

The Spells:

Gold Sarcophagus, Card Destruction, and Allure all add speed to this deck.  Just make sure you don’t overdo your drawing power if your deck is about the same as your opponent’s.

My Body as a Shield can protect your monsters.

D.D.R. is very helpful in this deck.  If DF is on the field, you can discard Necroface and remove 5 cards.  Then you can Special Summon the Necroface you discarded.  If S-ABT is also on the field, your opponent would then lose 2 more cards

Soul Release is in here in case you end up draining your opponent while DF isn’t on the field.  It could also get rid of Spells or Traps that won’t normally be removed.

The Traps:

Once again we have the standard line up, aside from Return from the Different Dimension.  Speaking of which, RftDD is very useful in this deck because Life Points don’t really matter in this deck.  Plus more Special Summoning of Zombies fuels S-ABT.

Well I hope this deck works out as well, if not better, than the other drain design I have created.  I actually don’t have the cards to make this deck, so maybe some of you Yu-Gi-Oh fans out there will try this out.  I’d like to see how it works.  So just email if you like.

Until my next article, have fun!
