Card Game Tips from fans
November 2009 Looking at Old Decks: Justin Womack For Nationals 2007, in an age dominated by Monarchs and Machine Aggro, Justin Womack shocked his opponents by bringing an innovative Dark World Aggro deck. Many hailed it as the best deck in Nationals. The deck was very powerful. This was the list: 3 Card Trooper 3 Brain Control 1 Call of the Haunted As you can see, the deck was incredibly aggressive, combining the old Machine Aggro with powerful Dark World cards. In addition, it ignored "ratios" of DW cards to discarders. Instead of an "optimal" discard engine, he used what would be the most aggresive. This is because you can Tribute summon Goldd, and you could discard other cards to use Dark World Lightning. Also, note the incredible speed of this deck, which used 3x Machine Duplication. For futher analysis of his build, follow this link her; http://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?id=1945 Now, I will show you my build, which I have modified for this format. 3|Een|Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World 3|Ston|Dark World Dealings 3|Sd1|Reckless Greed 3|Tdgs|Stardust Dragon I've replaced the banned cards with cards that fit into this enviroment. Also, I added 3x Sillva, and 3x Dark World Dealings. These contribute to speed as well as field presence. Other cards I've added in would be 3x Reckless Greed. In a deck with skewed ratios like this, 3x Reckless Greed is crucial, since it will let me draw into either my discarders or my Dark World monsters. I've omitted some of the staples in this deck, like Torrential Tribute and Call of the Haunted, because I have a lot of card destruction in the form of Dark World Lightning, as well as quick summoning methods in the form of Reasoning, Dark World cards, and Rescue Cat. A lot of people will say this deck is bad because of these different additions. I'd recommend testing it before you say anything. It tested really well for me, but it is weak to Lightsworn decks. Because of this, I'd recommend this deck mostly in fun play situations, or if you really like it, you could take it to Regionals. Deck Analysis: For this deck, I will analyze the M/S/T/E all in their own groups, instead of focusing on certain cards like I normally do. Monsters: Spells: Traps: Extra:
