Importance of the TCG Fan Tips by Baneful
This section has been long abandoned since 2011, but
was very active years ago. This was overall
due to the rise of the forums. You could get
your post approved in 2 second and get a reply in 2
minutes on the forum rather than waiting a day.
The internet has accelerated like that.
Yet, I still see the value of this section.
Well, for myself at least. Writing articles
where you have to plan a thesis, your supporting
points and conclusion (among other things) can be a
bit taxing. And then, there's proofreading...
Also, since it is a bigger chunk, I tend to avoid it
and put it off.
Writing smaller mini-articles in the tips section is
much easier and natural. Not to say I'll
abandon my Column, but TCG Fan Tips might prove to
be the most efficient way to post content on Pojo,
especially for readers with less time or less
attention span (I'm guilty of this). I can
probably write 5 of these tips in the time I finish
with one article.
Perhaps it's purely nostalgia, but I definitely miss
the deck lists people used to post. Even if
they were 50 card decks with like 25 trap cards in
them, they were interesting and fun to read. I
hope to revive this section at the very least.
