The COTD reviews that I regret by Baneful
To be honest, I think the "I regret nothing" mantra
is a cliche.
Especially when it comes to some of my Card
of the Day reviews.
There are assessments I've made in the past that I
now disagree with.
It's often the case where I
underrate/overrate a card and then some other
reviewers go in the opposite direction.
And overall the averaged score represents an
accurate middle ground.
I overrated Imperial Tombs of Necrovalley.
Now I'd give it a 4 (rather than a 5).
Still a great card, but a bit situational.
I was a little (just a little) bit harsh on Mobius
the Mega Monarch.
I may have also been a bit harsh on Leo
Keeper's traditional ratings.
I over-estimated Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force.
None of the rank-ups out there are great.
Christian Moss and I have had a little discussion
about Jinzo a few weeks ago.
And while I don't think it's a below-average
card, I'd say that his assessment of it was more
practical than my own.
I didn't rate Abyssgunde but would agree with the
other reviewers assessments.
Morphing Jar (1) and 2
I did rate a bit low.
I was reviewing them in context of existing
outside of "empty jar".
And in hindsight, I wouldn't give Cyber Dragon Nova
a perfect 5.
It's weak ATK makes it easy to kill in battle
(and therefore not get it's effect).
So, yeah, I make mistakes.
Oftentimes, when I recieve a card, it is the
very first time I had ever seen it and I have to
extrapolate.
The majority of my reviews I stand by though.
I've given lots of 1's and 1.5's.
That's just the nature of the game.
Konami doesn't have good quality control.
